I am still trying to understand why fractals are not the way to go.
With fractals, you can confirm price action through higher highs and higher lows and vice versa. The break of a fractal can be used as an entry point – pure price action. For lack of a better way of describing it, the opposite side of the channel serves as price confirmation. Only when that opposite fractal is breached, do we have a confirmation of a price turn around.
My experimentation with ZZ seems to yield a lot of false trend changes. The answer is to add more indicators for confirmation, but now we’re getting away from pure price action.
RR – out of curiosity, do you have a Zig Zag EA in your arsenal? And if so, can you add some additional insights.
