It becomes more difficult to achieve higher percentage returns with huge sums under management.

It is also not necessary.

Most people never have as much own money to find out.

I still rather manage $25m of OPM and achieve 1% per month (from which I take 20%) than having $100K and make 10% per month of which I keep 100%.

daytrading

Right, and if you charge a management fee like some funds do then that alone would exceed the 100k*10%. $25m isn't that much in fund managing terms, especially for a reasonable trader even with just mediocre returns.

Even the slightest hint of excitement is a red flag to me anymore.

That was actually a display of lack of excitement. I had a revelation this week realising that emotion is quite important in trading, at least to me. Not in that it should affect decisions, but in terms of motivation and satisfaction.

You'd make significantly less on the 25m of OPM. I suppose the attraction is getting much, much more under management.

I prefer trading my own money.
This way, I can make as much as I can.

And I don't have to share a single dime.

The ONLY real problem for most beginner is undercapitilization.
Why?
From a mathematical perspective. If new beginners are confined
to risk managment and money management, then this means
they need more money to begin with.

Why do you think money managers trade only 1% to 2% and still
earn so much. It is because they have BIGGER deposits to work with.

There is really nothing much to learn in Forex. Again, all are
confined to risk managment and money management. Break these
rules and you are gambling. Gambling becomes desperations and that
is why people lose so much!

Please keep this posting as a tool of wisdom. One day all will thank me for posting this.

.01($25,000,000)0.2 = $50,000/mo.

.10($100,000)1.0 = $10,000/mo.

(2% "management fee" on $25,000,000 annually = $50,000....)

the best way to attract investor capital is to dress up like female investor capital, and blink your eyes at the investor capital. the investor capital will then drop its jaw to the floor, and co me running at you (the now female investor capital). it works for bugs bunny every time.

OPM
$25million X 1% (per month) = $250.000 X 20% = $50.000 (per month)

Own Cash
$100.000 X 10% (per month) = $10.000 (per month)

I know which one I'd go for.

Keeping in mind that producing 10% pm (or 120% per annum) on a consistent basis (over years) is kind of unrealistic to put it mildly.
