You will need to change times in THV TRIX and daily/ monthly pivots

Bring up a H1 chart, place your mouse on the last bar, that will be the opening time for that bar, most likely in GMT format 24 hour not 12 go to

http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

make sure you switch to 24 hour eg 7pm will be 19

Right mouse click on the chart and bring up indicators list or Ctrl + I

Now for your pivots. You can set your HrsServer for me Alpari +2. However Hrs Choice for me is +1, I use London

Now for THV Trix settings. You will have to game it because some people do daylight saving and others dont, then you have your server thingy in there as well

For example in the winter your London times would be Open = 8 and close = 17 Big Ben is =0GMT winter and +1GMT summer

New York is -5GMT winter and -4GMT summer

Now that things are thoroughly confused there'll be a test at 11am, oops 15GMT

Hi, hopefully someone can help me...

I have setup THV v4 on my MT4 but have a few questions...I have read the manual but it is for v3 not v4. This thread is so long I don't know where to start!

If anyone could assist it would really be appreciated.

1. which is the main template to use?

2. Which settings do I need to change for broker time etc? I am using FXPro?

3. Is there a post I should be reading that explains everything?

Thank you!

Also go here for this

http://www.2010.worldmarkethours.com/Forex/index.htm

And I like this because it shows "clock time" in your time zone

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

I have the following GMT's

London 0900GMT (8am) to 1800GMT 8 to 5
New York 12GMT (8am) to 21GMT 8 to 5

Sydney 0000GMT (10am) to 1700GMT 10 to 5

Now for Tokyo because of GMT stuff

0000GMT to 1700GMT Should be 9 to 5

The last can't be right because that is the same as Sydney so I'll have to game it

Nice one ozobU, I didn't quite understand all of that but think I have it setup right now.

The link for the market times matches what's showing on the top right of the chart so must be set correctly (New York 16 minutes left).

Cheers, now I just have to figure out how to work this mother!

Further thoughts: It would help if the Cobra Label could be moved to the left side of the charts and was transparent, but preferable if it could just be switched off!

Hi Cobra,

Any chance to post the coral indicator set at 300 rather than the standard 60. That would be much appreciated

Many thanks

That indie just uses iCustom to call the Ichimoku indie like this:

Senkou_Span_A=iCustom(NULL,prd,"Ichimoku",MaPeriod1,MaPeriod2,MaPeriod3,5,yy) ;
Senkou_Span_B=iCustom(NULL,prd,"Ichimoku",MaPeriod1,MaPeriod2,MaPeriod3,6,yy)

Then just check where the price is in relation to Senkou_Span A and B.
But maybe you should check over in the THV EA thread to see if
they have already coded what you need first.

What I meant was that you will notice that the MA period of the T3 M5 IS 300. So if you put it on your 1m chart you will have what you requested - i.e a coral with a 300 period instead of 60. You can verify this by changing the period of the t3 M5 on the 1m chart to 60 and noticing that it matches the coral.

Hello everyone

Since stumbling across the THV thread, I've learned quite a bit about trading in the Forex market. Sometimes it has involved reading, and re-reading, and re-reading things for it to finally sink in. But one thing I know for sure. The THV method of trading is head and shoulders above any other method I have investigated. As we all know (or SHOULD know), no method is one hundred percent due to the very nature of the beast we are dealing with. However, the THV method seems to be the closest thing to perfect, and certainly provides us with enough guidelines to survive in the Forex world. And perhaps the most amazing thing about THV is.......IT IS FREE!

I personally will be forever grateful to Cobra and his "cohorts" for all the work they have done in making THV what it is today.

The THV system is the most active and most viewed thread in the Forex Factory, and there is a good reason for that fact..........THV WORKS!

Thanks for everything guys.

CobraForex,

First of all, I would like to express my thanks and honor for using THV system.

Second I would like to suggest adding an indicator:
If we can create an indicator that can show an additional "Daily bar" (only one bar) to 3-4 user defined pairs, other than the main pair being monitored in the system.

i.e. I am trading EUR/USD, and I would like to see how the EUR is doing today with the following pairs: EUR/CHF, EUR/JPY, EUR/GBP, CNY/EUR, which will give me a great idea on how the EUR is doing generally for today.

You may place the indicator in the small space on the right between the session time and the scalping mode, with a very small font, like a small table of 3-4 columns and 2 rows ... the first row to show the pairs and second row to show the daily bar/s.

What you think? please advise if you liked the idea? And how we can make it even better?

Cheers,
Depict history, predict future, and the area in between ...
