I am short AUD presently and there looks like a nice entry here also on 30min chart, fib retrace and possible trend continuation to the downside, will see how it moves. I will still be looking for medium term longs once risk aversion is off the table, but for now down town.

Egads, a bull pennant on the 30 min chart. I am not shorting now but reserve the right to go short later if things don't work out for the Aussie

RBA planned to back on track, rising the Cash rate to a more normal level. but this still tentative. let see for friday 2:30 GMT for Gleen Stevens speech, and hoping there is more clear hints there.
so still bullish or more bearish what do you think guys?

I'm leaning towards bearish but that is just based on the position of the S&P futures, if they have a weak close on Tuesday then a mini downtrend should be underway and the aud should be sold off fairly quickly as some risk is unwound.

Amy, 9288 should put a cap on this northbound rally.

I'm looking at 9278-90 but i don't want to sell too soon as I expect index futures might spike up later on, maybe quite sharply, before selling off and i don't want to get stopped out.

If it does stay under 9280 ish the bearish trend remains intact, market driven up by expectation so an unwind should be seen but news changes things fast (edit: positive data expected US time)

I've got .9340 in sight... then upwards to .9440 before stalling. These levels appear too convenient for a short.

Just my 2 lots.

Edit: ...to note that I'm flat.

I just see that PA usually tests once then gets accelerated through. This would be our first test since the drop. I'll still be watching PA right at "00" so i wont have any pendings around there. We'll have to see.

actually i was bearish also, but a little worry about this news. i have a few short position since 0.9007, and 0.9156, i keep this position since i was quite confident at that time, now i'm a little worry about this situation, and still wait and see, i would like to add more short at 0.9320. hopefully the economic condition will advantage my position.

I think there maybe a return to risk aversion over the next few days, if S&P futures get rejected at 1200-1201 area tonight and move down then maybe it will be time to start holding some longer term shorts on aud, but at the moment my charts all indicate higher prices.
