so, in theory, the more touches the stronger the barrier, hence you expect price to fade it. then if there are a lot of cluster on the other side you know it could turn into an avalance.

so with price at RZ10H you are looking for a strong and quick move down in case it turns around

I do not expect price to breakdown on a RZ10H.. I just know if it does it should cascade.. if it breaks the RZ10H I wont trade long unless it retests the zone generally and that zone is SZ11? zone.then expect the move to continue.. but will enter off a lower TF break high.

Yes, I should not have used the term expected because we never try to anticipate but you are alert to a possible breakdown

The 15min fib from early this week is almost complete. There is now a bull fib setup seen on the 4hr. Now that this early week fib is completing, we could see a bulls come in to take us to 3730.

Flow for entry, fibs for targets. We'll see if any buyers come in.

I see. Your method seems straight forward enough that it should work on any market, the simpler the system the more versatile and robust it should be imo.

You can see what he means though, they've all got their own little idiosyncrasies, for example don't you find Cable and Eur/Usd 'feel' totally different to trade?

The strategy itself probably works on any instrument and any time frame, I guess he's trading the ones that he knows best.

Indeed it does. The concept is so simple that it works on all timeframes and all pairs but, on some pairs it might work better on lower timeframes because of different volatility. You can apply the same rules overall, but why not do things properly ? Volatility is not the same, spread is not the same, behaviour is not the same, respect for barriers is not the same.

Plus, getting around 10 great setups per month just on GY, do I really need to trade other pairs ?

You can still get good signals on the same timeframes on a lot of products but rules need to be different, maybe just small differences but something will change.

each one has its own characteristic depending on what type of pair it is.. like some are commodity pairs .. it depends on its base generally. like aud.jpy has a commodity feel with a yen volatility.. stuff like that..

and with what hornet says they all react much differently with respect to barriers.. I believe it to be caused by other instruments are doing at the time it finds a barrier.

With all due respect, "expect" is the dirty word, but "anticipate" i would think not.
Or do you think anticipation sets the mind to certain direction bias as well?

your not expecting or anticipating both I kinda feel are dirty because by definition *see picture below

I do not like to trade with these emotions.

anticipation can lead to poor performance.. its honestly best to close the PnL side of your platform.. realize where price is notice what can happen multiple ways.. and prepare and react...

If 3600 doesn't offer a secondary bearish set up to a new target below...

Yeah sure, its just that trading fibbs without some sort of anticipation is damn near impossible.
On the positive side, most fib set ups provide double scenarios to the up and down side on the intraday....
Oops, sorry! this thread is not about fibs, is it ?
