Neither am I, there are dozens of opportunities, like he said one on a break of 88, another at 97, yours at 17, another at 59 which didn't go anywhere, then a short on the break of 45, another at 24 which wouldn't have been worth taking.......all tradeable imo and with very limited risk, especially if stops are set using Domino's 'no giggle around' approach of more or less instant reaction otherwise it's unlikely to happen.

i don't go lower than 30mins on GY. other less volatile pair might be good on 15mins but i have no experience to back that claim up. i do not have the time to follow it properly lower than 30

Did you just go short on EU at 1.3636 - traders trick on 30 min break?

Edit: I'll rephrase that as I see you don't actually trade EU - was that entry a valid signal please? Price didn't close above the 61.8% retrace before it started falling so I thought it would be valid.

yes, that is a very sensible approach. it either runs your way or you run out of it....usually 1 or 2 bars of the same timeframe you use for entry is what should be max timestop. these kind of trades sometimes make you little and sometime lose little. overall they tend to even out even if you don't exit but it is surely more stressful to have a position going nowhere than getting out with small + or - pips

that TTE is not valid for me for 2 reasons:

1. i don't trade EU
2. the candle was broken only by 2 pips, i use 5 pips on GY but other pairs could need less (maybe 3 on other pairs). this because it is not a centralised market and each broker has a different feed. using a "gap" i kind of make sure that the whole market is seeing a break

also, there was a deep retracement making the pattern not a clean one so i would wait for a better opportunity. a cleaner setup, but that is just me

I agree, why spend time and energy babysitting a trade which didn't do as expected. I just love the simplicity of it and the very basic momentum concept. "I expect price (traders) to do x at around y, if it doesn't then I'm out, anything else is indecision, questionable, and a hope and a prayer".

Got a new swing now by the look of it.....

Am I right in saying that the RZ/SZ is taken from the higher timeframe domino? So if you're trading 15M TF then you'd look for RZ/SZ on the H1 and if you're trading H1 then S/R would come from H3 or H4 maybe?

Also, the cluster count in the RZ/SZ name is taken from the higher timeframe where the S/R line is identified?

What i'm looking for when trading on 15min charts:

pin bars and big volume.

And when price comes back the zone normally rally again because the big money pushed last time.

If it gets violated, it normally goes the opposite direction.

Other opportunities are (small) bars with litte volume.

Participants can push the price with litte effort in one direction to grab quickly some pips.

you can trade other things in here its just to hard for me to mark up and post all the different charts..

I dont trade lower than 3 or 4 hour charts..I prefer daily or weekly.. in trades that pay indirection of spreading Interest rate differential.. against huge SZ or RZ extremely noticable with good to great orderflow built.. thats what I built a business off of.. not 15M and 30M trades.. this is like a game for me really.. you can burn out real quick with these trades...
