Hi all,
I'm a long time grateful follower, first time poster on FF, however I felt that I had to point out something which I noticed with my broker in this evenings Asian session.
I do not wish to disclose the name of the broker as this is obviously a strong suggestion, however would like some feedback regarding this.
I've never really followed any of the metatrader news within the platform however at 2010.04.09 02:18:22 (GMT +2) there was the following article;
MARKET TALK: EUR/USD Remains A Sell On Greece Concerns - Dealer
I'm obviously not saying that I'm not aware of this being news or it being misleading itself, however more about the timing of it...
The interesting thing is that within 2mins of this, in a relatively flat market (less that 4pips movement in 2.5 hours), the price rallied 23pips within 20mins.
Just bad timing? Or a bit too coincidental???
The more I read about forex brokers, the more dubious I become about them so I try not to, however I'm interested in knowing if this is somewhat suspicious? I'm not exactly sure where these news feeds are pulled from (some are obvious WSJ articles etc.) however this was a 'Dealer' message which I presume is from the broker?
I can't find any similar news articles/events elsewhere which correspond to this message around that time either.
I wasn't negatively affected by this move/article (as I mentioned I never follow these), if fact I managed to catch quite a few pips from it on the way up
however I need to have trust with my broker.
What do you guys (and girls!) think? Am I just being paranoid about my dealer or is this suspicious?
Look forward to hearing your thoughts...
Adam
