GY 30mins flipping over.

Could be looking at upward move. need to hold above 141.14 to confirm

GY is having a very deep retracement, no entry even if pattern holds and a trigger shows up

EU 30mins worked out ok as a direction flip.

Euro appears to be at a decisive level. A break above should be a long opportunity I think. Resistance is only 33 pips above at 400 though.
I would prefer for it to breakdown for another crack at 300.

The rationale for todays rally seems lame to me.
OK US job data was poor, but not wildly different to forecast.
Is this just a case of shaking out weak shorts?

Ahhh, could be good ole Trichet, haven't taken that one in yet.
Just tryin to get some context really. Seems neccessary if we've any hope of identifying who/what is behind market swings.

And wrt to the chart, "Once ya go black ya never go back!" as they say.

I reckon it must have been either some buy orders, stops, or short covering, or one/all/none of the above.

Anyway where's our leader gone? He drops by, moans about all the posts, cleans up, and then he disappears again....

I've just been watching re-runs of Extras, that Gervais is sooo funny!

that was the level it had to hold to be able to confirm reversal.

I dont consider volume profile to be orderflow and its not much usuable in FX.. in bonds and futures hell yes volume traded at contract price is amazing.. but not in fx... orderflow is different here. When we are looking at the DOM or limit order books.. we are seeing the surge volume near support or resistance.. also orderflow.. for example On the bloom I saw surge buying on the breakout and near resistance which lead me to believe that any breakout short would not hold.. so look at the eurusd today.... if this is not order flow I dunno what is.

I wont argue with you that I like what your doing its just not true order flow on fx because your not getting true information.. great for support and resistance areas.. and high attractor areas but not true orderflow.

The problem is that we make the assumption that because currency futures is the "real" market, delta bars created with the brokers bid and ask data will be accurate...not the case.
Various brokers data, and various charting SW show different bars, i have observed that with at least two different combinations.
I actually had delta displaying within volume bars.

whats the most important aspect of taking these trades.. the focus on the pending orders floating above or below the levels that are close together and in high quantity... The noticability and high number of clusters in close proximity will produce the high volume on breakout needed to sustain a movement and provide asymetrical rebalancing after the break
