DislikedHow do you know when a level is conquered? A move above resistance could be a stop hunt which gathers momentum and triggers more stops (the stop runners motive), and then positioning for a sell off at those better (higher) prices, or it could be a genuine directional move based on fundamentals, how can you tell? Again, you're only going to know after the event. How do you decide which scenario is more probably and either fade the spike or trade in it's direction, perhaps on a pull back?
This is beginning to sound a lot like TA rather than order...Ignored
I don't know which will work and which do not I take them when I see the setup and believe me, I honestly don't have a 100% hitrate. I just trade the setups I have studied and that I see best. The setups that repeat over and over on charts. What my eyes see is just my eyes....we all see different things.
Personally I do not consider it TA and neither OF for that matter. I call it that for lack of better word and beacause domino started this thread along these lines. We trade similar but not identical.
If I were to give it a name it would be Price Analysis but don't know if it makes sense. But "basic stuff" sounds more like it......very basic stuff indeed
