My friends, ecTrade and Tulipevierge, i think this latest Shake n Bake is now ready to trade with real live account.
All of our test ended with almost the same result: PROFIT!

Actually, we got to forward test it for 2 months after there's no idea to put into this Shake n Bake.
2 months is sufficient for Shake n Bake to train before go into the real battle field: Real Live Account.

I knew that ecTrade has put it with his Real Live Account and it worked perfectly.
But i think we should try forward test it for 2 months.
I've read this rules :
Forward test your strategy/EA for 2 months, and after you really make profit within time of your test, then use it with real account.


What do you think, friends?

it is us dollar, well, i think my life is under pressure since, i have no real jobs for almost 2 years... especially when starting to see the future having my own family... within my age still depends with family is really ashame actually...

but at least 1.1 BA can work properly no error, that is good sign already

still trying to get a suitable setup about SL and Trailing and other like lead and lag.... that is good ratio winning with this uncertain the Price action...

some setup change different result even losses especially when doing lead and lag with trailing.

Actually back test or forward testing it does not matter because that only to see if there is no error or not..... i haven't seen any error yet...

the things is we have to fine a good ratio winning setup to trap that price action because the future price action is unpredictable and uncertain....

Yeah, there are still a number of things I'd like to look at, although I think it works reasonably well the way it's set up now. My primary concern, as it's always been, is the major upswings and downswings ... although it seems to do enough of this when trading "normally." The actual "lows" don't show up when backtesting (although I think the ultimate drawdown figure is correct), and I would like to try and minimize this as much as I can too. I will try as soon as I get this order closing scheme to work (similar to Equity Target), as well as the hedge and indicator options.

Oh, will also try and squeeze in this multiple timeout option (as most of it is already done) in the next day or two.

Wow! I'm looking at the Yen, which is down 350 points against the Euro, and 250 points against the US dollar, after I placed the trades late last week, and I now have four trades open (in larger account) for a total of $-135. Of course I also said I'm trading four other pairs so, the current total right now is $-175. However, I also have $65 in earnings so, I'm only $110 down ... but, guess where it's all going? The Yen. So, if it wasn't for that, I would actually be $25 ahead. But, this is the sort of thing that's to be expected, although it doesn't mean I shouldn't try to reduce it, because I should. Otherwise I am just asking for it if it doesn't reverse and becomes a major downswing.

Oh, if I had placed everything on these two pairs alone (instead of six), I would be down between $500 and $600 right now. So, there is a lesson to diversifying.

what number we should put ptarget override? is it 1, 2, 3 or how many pips?

Actually the override is used for setting the AccountEquity() target and overrides the E_Target. This is in case you update the EA in the middle of trading (it has more to do with testing) and you don't want all the orders to close early on you. Basically you enter an equity amount higher than the current equity and, at a point you know you are in profit when all the orders close.

It's supposed to address the problem that I'm talking about here ... although I haven't fully worked out all the details.

it looks like the one working is with time out and the trailing is not working...

because every pips i won is the same number, i put in time out pips...

Maybe if you set the timeout value higher or the pips value higher? Because it will override the trailing stop every time (once the pips value is reached) if it occurs before the trailing stop closes out. Basically it's set to override the trailing stop after a specified period of time in other words.

I guess once I get the multiple timeouts working, where you can set the "initial" timeout and pips values higher, it should give you more flexibility here.

yes, i set it higher than trailing. but when it reverse it's not hit trailing..

example, i set time out pips 70, after it reach 50 and reverse, it can hit SL...and no trailing.

with the right distance between pending buy and sell stop, combine with that profit management and small SL, will give a best setup i think... because SL is less than TP.

If I have time, I can look into it later. Oh, it looks like there's no point in getting the hedge to work (at least for now), for it looks like IBFX has discontinued it. Crap! This Yen vs Euro and USD is starting to get out of hand, and I thought maybe I could offset it a bit by hedging. NOT!!!

Oh well, I might have to start looking for an overseas broker.

Hey, how about the Yen vs the Euro and USD? It's down 500 points with the Euro over the last week, and 350 points with the USD. It's really messing me up. Although I have over $100 in earnings, I'm down by $375, and $290 of that is with these two pairs. I sure hope it turns around here pretty quick!

I'm probably not going to do this again or, at least not with this particular version. What I need to do is find a way to get the hedge to work but, now I'm not allowed to use it.

i think depends the setup...because some setup can cause you to 0 in back test....

it's still confuse which setup is the best one...

i hope it's easy for you to open account overseas....

Well, I have two accounts with IBFX so, for the time being I can set an alarm to go off in the one account whenever it's time to hedge, then manually set the hedges in the second account or, initialize the EA that's setup to handle it. That's the best I could do for now.

But man, this Yen business really sucks! I had to cancel out over $100 in profit so I can close about half the open Yen trades. At the time I was down by over $450, wow! although now it's about $300, which is more manageable. Still, this is how much I'll lose if I close everything out now. Ouch!

Anyway, in the process I think I found a great way to hedge, although I'm stuck with trying to do it manually for now. I think I'm going to open a demo account with ATC Brokers which allows you to hedge, and try to incorporate it into Shake n' Bake that way. And may in fact get something going here pretty quick.

When forward testing Shake n Bake V.1.1B, i found out that its TP is just 0.25, 0.27, 0.30, and some value around 0.25-0.30 pips...
What happened?
Is there any missed setup?
I mean, am i missed something?

And about the two great setup save from Tulipevierge, to be honest~i'm not tried it yet...

No, that's not right. It sounds like you have it setup with a 5 digit broker, although it should adjust for that automatically. Have you tried it with V1.1C yet? If the problem still persists, and you are using a 5 digit demo, I suggest you try downloading a 4 digit demo. I thought I already had this working but, maybe not? I don't have time to look into it right now either. Sorry.

Yeah, I looked at it, but I wasn't sure which program to open it up with. And when I did (in Notepad?), it didn't make a lot of sense. But, then again, I really don't have a lot of time right now. I have too many issues (mainly my broker and hedge option) I'm trying to deal with. Again, sorry.

Okay, I have two 5 digit demo accounts, one with IBFX and one with DeltaStock, and tried forward testing it on both, and both appear to work correctly. Can you be more specific about the setup you are using? ... and, although I tried it with a different version (V1.1C), I don't think it should make any difference.
