I've been practicing PA for several months now and have had limited success. Then, I happened upon the James16 thread and have read mostly everything (skipping over some of the individual chart questions/comments). I've even watched and read all of the guest material on the private site. I absolutely love everything about this site and everyone involved. Thanks for reaching out to us beginners.
My question: Has anyone used PA to trade the S&P emini's (ES)? I have been focusing my efforts on the ES and find it particularly difficult to catch any substantial swings. The PA bars/candles arent very clear. I understand that this is mainly a forex site/thread but I thought I'd check to see if anyone includes the ES in their trading plans. I read that James sometimes trades the YM - emini Dow on lower timeframes?
And, related to my above question: If anyone is trading the ES, what timeframes are you using? I know that this thread recommends beginners to start with the daily, 4-hour, and hourly...but since I've been trading the ES, it seems like these timeframes are too high. I've been practicing the methods on this thread, on the ES, on tick charts.
Thanks for much for your help. (I apologize if I am totally off base with my question above.)
