I mean is it sepcial or just read news to make a deal?

some said it's illegal why?

Trading news is taking advantage of the shock in the markets when there is an economc new release afecting some currency.

Many traders that trade news scalp the spike, manually, with a straddle, etc. there are others that do it more technically but is basically the same, place a position to take advantage of the temporary volatility that the news cause.

Look at todays charts at 2:15 EST, they got completely dizzy because the USD Interest Rate Statement, if you placed a short in EUR/USD or in EUR/JPY you would have made some nice pips (provided that you were not stoped in the previous ascending spike je je).

Trading news is not illegal, but the orders during low liquidity times as when news release, is a difficult task to brokers (or at least is what they make us beleive), so, some brokers will shutdown servers, freeze your platform, deny or change constantly a quote, or in the best of cases, increase their spread, so that they have an edge and don't lose money if you get a price that they can't provide anymore because of the fast movement. Many brokers won't want you to trade news, but there are others where you can do it without a problem, to find about those brokers you must make a research.

Do some research and you'll find lots of info about news trading.

Also, look at Forex Factory's calendar and it will tell you which news events will have the biggest impact on particular currencies.

Here are some hard truths traders need to hear:


1). During major news events, brokers increase their spreads ( I’ve seen Oanda increases their news spreads to 25 pips ) . So that automatically eats into any potential profits.


2). During big news events, the markets can move quickly, so if your order even gets filled , it will be well beyond your entry price. I know – I tried “news trading” once and had my order filled 50 pips (!) away from my entry price. Luckily, I made a small profit on that trade. But it was just luck – I could have suffered a huge loss just as easily.


3). The markets can discount fundamentals, so you have no guarantee there will even be any big move after a report is released.


4). The markets can also be volatile after a big report is released – your paper profit can turn into a loss literally in seconds, faster than you can exit the trade. News-trading isn’t the easy path to riches.


5). Unless you’re a bank trader, you have no business trying to news trade – leave it for the professionals.
