Since I am going to be demoing various versions of the High Low EAs I decided to stay with the MA cross here. I have changed to a 1x1 and mix it with the MPTM. It breaks even after 15 pips so in my testing all the trades but one either profited or hit the break even. I also added +5 pip profit so all the BE made 5 pips. I said this cool so I will do more of it this week. Anyway here are my trades.

The 1x1 is a median and then shift 1. My study shows on a 4H chart it will almost always move 20 pips so I will get my breakeven and then ..............

I saw the aud/jpy and eur/jpy had nice profits so I closed the eur/jpy and let the aud/jpy run ...................... well it didnt.

Sometimes I think I am talking to myself here. Took the eur/nzd profit and will hang onto the other NZD and see how far they run today. Rid of that DD and now looking to be in position to still make profit this month. I post these trades so you can see how Forex is really an up and down business.

Well it is 60 for and 59 against. You show guys how to get out of bad trades and they think the system is bad because you have bad trades. Well growup, it is part of trading so get used to it and learn how to handle it.

Glad I closed out the Aud/Nzd trade yesterday. It took a jump back up so now we sell it again. Nawwwwww its Friday. Good day though almost back in profit. We could catch a couple of profits today and have the last half of the month to rack up some gains. See you tomorrow.

Just thought I would posta short note.....trading now for a little over 2 yrs and still on first account tho it be less than I started I am climbing back up....my problem was blindly trusting indicators....Since then I studied PA and now I'm slowly incorporating a few chioce indicators...RSI and macd... I 'm watching the 4h and Daily entering some trades on what I see so I applied your system to a few 4h charts and I'll be watching to see if I can catch a few pips. I do trade lower time frames but mainly use the upper frames to come to directional decisions. Oh yea just happened to find you while surfing FF don't visit here much often like I used. Till next time.

Welcome, Since I have started trading higher TF charts I at least make money. If you use higher TF charts and then go to lower charts to make your entrance, I think that is the best way to trade. Since I am not home much but am at work I use EAs to make my entrance and then manage most of the trade from there. I am going to make one change and will be using starting Monday.

Woooow, Nanningbob! Just amazing how you reduced that nasty drawdown. Seems like you will end up with some pips even this month

Just to let you know, I am changing from my 3x3 to a 6x6. I have demo tested it the last week and compared to the High/low system and the 3x3 system and it had the lowest DD and fewer false entrances. Here are the pics to compare. Just change it to 6 median LWMA 0 for one line and 6 Median LWMA shift 1 for the other line. Most of the week it was in the green and went very little in the red. Here are pics to compare. First pic is the 6x6 and the second is the old 3x3.

Put the 2 6x6 ML in your expert advisor folder. THe 6x6tpl in the template folder. The rest go in the indicators folder. It is simple. When price goes above the yellow 1/4 of the screen put on the sell EA and when price goes to the 1/4 bottom of the screen put on the buy. I will let you make your own buy and sell screens. Very simple screen. I also use the MPTM Universal BE and I had only one trade go into DD of more than 100 pips in my tests. So test it out but I will be using this instead of all the others. If it works out I will remove all the other EAs on page 1 and will go with just this one. Then I will see how I can use this as a trend following down the road since it doesnt look like it will have the problems we encountered on the other thread. Happy trading.

Yes I think I will. I also think the 6x6 will solve my peek in trades I often got with the 3x3. I set my MPTM to 15 pips and BE with a 5 pip profit and all week long it worked for me. If price goes 15 and back up it profits 5. If it goes back down again it will reenter but if it keeps going back up it wont on the buy EA. Same thing with the sell.

Hey Bob,
Will test the 6x6. Any rule of thumb for how long you leave the EA on. Example- Red, White and Blue have gone to other extreme? Or Blue recrosses Red? thanks. Feeling any older today?

Say you have the 6x6 EA on the chart and trade hasn't kicked in yet. Can you put the trade manager on the chart at the same time so that when the trade initiates, the manager will automatically kick in and control the trade? Or do you have to wait until a trade initiates then apply the manager? thanks

I think that MPTM could be placed on any unused chart and it will mange all trades if you set it so.

I put the MPTM on one unused chart and it manages all my trades. My internet is down at my house so I cant post results until later today. Sorry. Yes I am older today, dang. The rules for the 6x6 are the same as the 3x3. I just feel it will miss some of those peeker trades and if you eyeball the crosses you will almost always get a 20 pip movement on a 4H chart. I have noticed this in my demo trading. The 3x3 would enter and then price move against you but on the same trade the 6x6 would not enter. If the 6x6 does enter it almost always gets 20 pips and sets the BE with the MPTM. Only one time did it not do this. SO the DD seems to be much less. Well I have to go back and teach. Only get 10 minute break each hour.

OK you get two days for the price of one. I had to go through out my house with a small wire brush and clean out all the contacts to my phones and computer lines. They were all corroded. So we are up and running again. Nice quiet start for the week and lots of choices for today. After an awful start to the month we are back in profit with 2 weeks left. Time to bring some pips home. I added my favorite pairs section since I am basically using a variation of the 3x3 and that is a 6x6. Just more of a delay before entering but hoping for less DD. The high/low system is going into DEMO mode until I iron out some things. Not giving up on it but need to demo test before I bring it out again.

aud/cad - aud/nzd this matches minor or commodity currencies together. As I have stated before minor currencies can get squashed by the larger currencies.

chf/jpy - eur/jpy - eur/usd - eur/cad - eur/nzd

gbp/jpy - gbp/usd - usd/chf - usd/jpy

Alternatives: the aud/jpy, eur/jpy, are all similiar so choose one. The Aud/jpy is not as volatile as the gbp/jpy if you want less movement but still like some volatility but it will do long trends more. The most important thing is you dont want to be heavily investment into any one currency. If the EUR/NZD is too volatile for your tastes you can replace it with nzd/chf or nzd/jpy. I just happen to like the eur/nzd pair and the way it flies around the chart.

Most volatile pairs: eur/nzd and gbp/jpy can be replaced with aud/jpy nzd/jpy nzd/chf for less volatility. __________________
I no longer trade usd/sgd. It is going to 25:1 leverage, simply not worth using up that much margin for a slow mover like that.

not much happened yesterday. Loved seeing the no enter with the 6x6. I think it will do a much better job at that than the 3x3 did. MPTM also did a nice job on the EUR/CAD preventing that one from being part of a DD. So I think we have made some positive improvements. I removed the Straddle trade for now. Dont know if I need it for the 6x6. We will see. Pics below.

Here is the aud/jpy trade I am putting on the 2nd L at the cross again. Trying that instead of the auto every 200 pips. See if that works. Also using a double lot size.
