Interactive Brokers beats them in my experience... also there's Dukascopy on the MT4 scene

IB only has 50:1 leverage and NO MT4 - Duka is in Beta with their MT4 (who knows when it'll be ready for LIVE) plus the spread widens by 0.5 increments (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, etc..) AND Duka has that stupid 30:1 weekend leverage that could give you a nasty surprise on Sunday if you open the platform and see that you had a margin call for trades that were fine on Friday.

50:1 is all I need. I don't use MT4 and plan to never use it again. It's an average platform. Book trader with Ninja is all I need.

I notice sometimes the highs and lows of candle are not consistent across all timeframes. For example...

The candle of 20:00 on the 31st, on ATC's time. The low of the hour is 1.38543 on most timeframes, but if you go to M15, for some reason the low of the hour becomes 1.38548. Only a half a pip difference, but still, why is this happening? Something about how their charts are updating is clearly faulty.

Did you notice that fxintel and fxdaily(owned by FXCM) have the same website icons? I think that might be why atc shows up as the best over there...

They probably have the same source; FXOpen also shuts down an hour early on Fridays.

The last hour is normally so illiquid it hardly matters...... why would this matter?

It makes certain kinds of charting impossible without looking at a different broker's data source. For instance, if a new low or high was made in that "down-time" and my system needs to take those into account.

I'm not expecting them to keep trading and staff available during these times, but at least they could fill in the missing data at the start of the week.

Im now torn between FXopen and ATC, but leaning toward ATC, can anyone confirm ATC's reliability in all aspects (from platform to money withdrawal).

I can. They're a straight-up trustworthy operation that wont play games with your trades or your money.

Hi Aja, I use ECN FXopen for more then 3 month and tryed all kind of crazy scalping it was fine fast.I got one time slippage during the news but it was to my side, 300 usd lol. I tryed many other famous brokers but didn't get anything even close to FXopen. I want to try ATC as well, are the opening procedures of account simple?

No diff than any other broker. You'll fill out an extra form or 2 since they use a FXCM-UK price feed for their trade servers (so you can Hedge, LIFO, etc.) but it's no biggie. You'll be setup pretty quick.

ATC does use EST instead of GMT time, which throws off MT4 plugins and candles are charted differently (daily candles will be different from most GMT platforms).

I noticed there have been no posts on this thread for a year now. I was curious to see if anybody is familiar with how ATC has been doing in the last year. Can anybody vouch for them still? I am considering opening an account with them, any input would greatly appreciated.

Any MT4 indicator that can't handle various server times probably isn't worth using.

On EST server time, it is actually sought out by many traders; MBT for example I believe is switching their MT4 to be in the EST time zone. A 5pm close is regarded as the proper day close by many institutional traders and many traders regard those as "correct" charts.

EDIT: Sorry, just realizing that post was 1 year ago, 2010. Oh well, my answer still stands.

We trade with ATC for more then 1 year now and they are an outstanding broker. We had faced some problems and they promptly resolved, even get some refund from them.

One of the best brokers on the market.

Some nice changes, like timezone shift, and rollover. Live chat built in is pretty neat too.
