Have a question....Any chance you can get some time, would you add the time function the 5 min momo has to the 2sma macd combo. I'd like to get both around the dead zone. I think it would also help the combo bot.

Also have an observation.....I'm sitting here watching the spread on the Guppy run from 10 to 3. Aside from the fact that that should be punished with jail time, you are also losing your shirt on the other pairs with low spreads. You already pick up the spread on each pair traded why not just add 5 to each spread and have an individual PendingOrderPips setting. It would stop those 130 error invalid stop messages and allow all pending orders at a reasonable price. I thought I saw you do that once before.......Just a thought from an old manual trader........

On a serious note, when you make this multipair can you please allow H4 trading. I am still getting very good results on my live account with this ROBOT placed on H4 Chart and USD pairs. Maybe the current market conditions favour this system, I do not know.

YES I know, only a warning is given, I am using H4 with good results. I meant if you could not have the warning when the multipair comes out.

Hi Steve,

1. The chart i attached of the audusd was to highlight that i pending trade was about to be trigger when the MACD was 20 bars into the positive.

The book says no more than 5 bars into the movement.
I feel this does not fit the strategy.
I have aslo noticed this happening on the 2ma macd.
More than 5 bars and the move is too late or about to turn back.

2. This version? Maybe i am using an older version?

I am currently looking at some pending oreder for the eurjpy.

Just checked the EA (Yes, i am using the pending order delete 120) I guess this one is now outdated?

Chart and pending orders attached. This chart also highlight the issue in above (placed pending orders when the MACD is over the 5 bar limit.)

Maybe i should just stick with testing the2 ma macd? I don't want to create any extra work for you.

I forget that you are not familiar with using trading robots.

The point of the inputs is to give users the flexibility to experiment with settings, to find those that work best for them. The more inputs there are, the more control users have but the harder the robot is to use. Easy robots have few inputs but the user has little control.

The purpose of sending pending trades rather than immediate market orders is to try to avoid sending trades at the end of the move that triggers the trade - a common scenario with any system. The length of time users allow these pending trades to remain in place is their choice; this is governed by their PendingOrderDeleteMins setting. It is also their choice whether to send pending or market orders; settings are SendImmediateMarketOrder and SendPendingOrder. To stick truly to the strategies, these should be true and false respectively.

Default settings do not necessarily represent a recommendation by the coder. They do not in these robots, as I have no idea what the best settings are.

HI

Just a quick point regarding the speed of PC. I used to have a lot of EAs and Indicators on he mt4 platform and thought if I was not using them they would be dormant and not a problem. However, due to low CPU speed I thought maybe this is the cause of the problem and after cleaning up the mt4 folders of unused files the speed improved significantly. Please do the same with your PCs or VPS.

Converting this was a bleedin' nightmare. There have to be bugs, so I am not converting the 5mm until I am sure this is working properly.

It has sent a few trades on the coding demo; whether they are correct and whether the trade management is correct is anybody's guess.

Stick it on a demo and sing out when something does not work properly.

It impresses the hell out of me that you have internet access on your truck.

The bot has so far taken 4 trades on my coding demo. They are currently all in profit - something of a record for my robots. Given my record, it will turn out the code is rubbish, the trades were taken out in the opposite direction they should have been and the profits are about to be wiped out.

We shall see.

Thus far the system and your single pair BOT have been remarkably good. We shall see if there are any bugs in the mul.pair BOT. Just few points:
1. Any reason for choosing those particular pairs as default or was it arbitrary.
2. Are there any limits on how many pairs can be loaded?
3.I notice that on the chart display the last pair USDJPY is repeated over and over (as if in a loop) is it suppose to do that.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions, just trying to ensure we get it 100% right.

1) Came from an early version of scoobs' robot.
2) No.
3) Of course it is. Obviously I want the last pair to be repeated over and over again. This is a crucial part of the robot operation.

Hehe. Ok, I couldn't resist the tease. To be a tad more helpful about point 3, no the final pair should not be repeating itself over and again on the display.

It is not happening here and there is nothing in to code to cause it. When something silly like this happens, then shutting down and restarting the platform seems like the obvious thing to do.

I thought Microsoft were cowboys until I came across the writers of meta trader.

Sorry but this job took a little longer than I thought it would and I just now got that bot loaded on demo. It will be in the AM before I know anything.
The truck is an old farm truck and really not very impressive but it gets the job done. The internet access is a farm write-off from AT&T Wi-Fi. It is all run by this Dell Whiz-Bang double fired up gamers laptop that I use everywhere. It also is a write-off because I use it to adjust computerized chicken houses. It has GPS so my bride of now 40 years can find me and the Shih Tzu if the need should arise.
I'll report in on the AM on the bot......Thanks for getting it put together so fast......

You just go up and up in my estimation. Apart from the technical stuff. Chris and I married in 1972. Not so many of us longevity couples around these days.

Thanks for that Steve. I married way above myself and it has worked out well.
I have to carry that laptop all the time because these 2 threads move so fast that if I get behind a half a day I'm in real trouble.
Bot just took a trade, that's a good sign.
