Yes put this indicator on a blank screen and it will give you the price needed to break even on every live trade. You can then see where the price falls and if it is just outside a S/R region you can adjust yourself for a small loss or you can change your lot size to get a better TP spot.

I sent you some code to put in to achieve the above. I just don't know my way around this ea's code well enough to know where to put it. I'm hoping that you can find out.

I've suggested using the Momentum indicator, perhaps others know a better one to achieve the result you want.

As for learning to program in mql4, check out http://www.mql4.com/. I've found that site most helpful, as well as the people on those forums.

Updating the thread. Since 2-23 till today (12 trading days) my 4 hr master ea has given up 8376 pips which means $836 playing for dimes with 9 pairs being traded. My daily master ea since 3-1 (7 trading days) has produced 3418 pips which is $341 with the same 9 pairs. It's hard to improve on this guys. However you improve this ea there will be the perfect storm that will make it lose. Winning more than you lose is the name of the game. Bob's newest thread is defiantly worth checking out.

Very encouraging results. I agree with you on perfect storm, but it can be handled better by the MA filter.
Dan, Keep us updated on your progress. Could you please update on the relative drawdowns on H4 and Daily?

IamThat, I don't watch the screen usually thru the day so it's hard to give an exact dd. I have seen the high -100"s for both systems and it seems the 4 hr has less dd than the daily. I have pips and tp at 80 on the daily and 50 on the 4 hr with multiplier at 1.5, everything else except tf is right out of the box. The only problem I ever have is playing those interest rate days. Including an adjustable mm system is the only improvement I would be working on but if you can't adjust the lots manually then there is something wrong with you. Not accepting trades until the ma crosses would be good but again the perfect storm is out there. I'll keep you guys informed. I applaud the new blood on the thread you guys have added new interest to a great thread.....Dan

Just thinking about the ma, when you have a pending order you are using a ma. Price must turn in your favor before it enters the trade which is exactly what the ma filter would be doing?

Look at the two pictures and you can observe that entry with a ma crossover is better placed and the sequence is delayed. Ofcourse, trend can change again but we are ina position to handle it better. H4 crossover would be ideal but even H1 is good enough for slow moving pairs. You can also pick MAs depending on pairs.

IamThat, you haven't posted this improved ea yet have you? Are you still based off the bb, because I see the green and red lines above/below the ma? If you can please post the indicator your using with the ma to get those green/red lines. Thanks Ganesh...Dan

No BB here, it is the same EA with MA filter (MA values could be different and also TF). Green and Red lines are 50MA levels (Buffers) which you can add from MA properties and are basic template of most of Bob's EAs.

Hi Guys,

For the last week or so I've fooled around with an M5 setup with the master on a demo account. I call it "fun" because it was interesting to see it stack up impressive incremental gains with relatively minimal dd before completely wiping out.

FYI, I was trading dimes on a 10K demo. As for settings, I set the buffer at 8 and pips at 10. This means that several times price hit 5-6 levels, but when you're talking about 10 pip swing, even a full lot doesn't draw down too bad on 10K. Still, I let the bot run 24/7 and during some news stories it really got ruined. Case and point, one time the EA took out an order of 34.4 lots. Lol.

It's not worth posting my other settings (MA period, stop gap, etc) because I tinkered with them all week. The data I collected is pretty useful but definitely not controlled.

I've attached a spreadsheet that shows data on the pairs I traded over the past 7 market days and the amount of times it breached each level. In the last column, it gives trades that reached level 5 as a percentage of total trades. This gives a clue as to the volatility of the pairs.

I'll keep fooling around with this, but it's far away from being able to be traded live.

Does anyone know a script or something that could shut down all the open and pending orders for a single pair? Even better would be an EA dashboard that catagorizes orders by pair and includes the ability to instantly close them out.

Surely something like this exists?

I believe the MPTM can do that. I have seen the options but have not tried them. You can find that with instructions on pg. 1 post 1 of my new thread.

I know Bob is very good in letting everyone know when interest stories are due. Still, due to me not being able to access this particular site at work I have missed a few. Not really a problem on demo trading but I was wondering what other sources of this information there are or does Bob have an inside man at Reuters?

Hey Bob thanks a lot for the trade, have been reading all your threads and just have to say wow never knew how much I didn't know and hate to admit that. I got your EA on one of my micro accounts and it has doubled this week alone so it has to be great.

I hope to keep learning from this and contribute as much as I can.

So you cant access forexfactory from work? Is it blocked?

You can try a proxy website if not there is also actionforex but that is more on the technical news and also broker websites like IBFX.com that have economic calendars that can show you any news that will be coming out over the next few days.

hmm well thats just dumb, but you can try a proxy which will just cover the sites if not actionforex is good or IBFX also has a great economic calendar.


Also on a site note I ahve been noticing that after wednesday I normally dont get profits just losses anyone else have the same issues?

Welldone, i really appreciate this your version of ea but unforunately i dont understand all the language you coded inside., in 3 days, i came out with +$405 profit on $100 demo making a total of $505. its really interesting. But i want to ask for one thing from you and other gurus that are robbing minds together in the forum, if hiden take profit feature can be incorporated in the master ea and the new one you just gave out for testing NanningBobEA-STOPwithMAfilter and NanningBobV2.0BuySellSTOP-Master . It will be interesting hidding the takeprofit point from the brokers.

Next Tues is USD interest rate. US probably wont change at this time but if they do OH BOY.
