Foste, when your sclaping, how many pips away to you set up your stops? And for the long trade?

Hey foste. do you like tradestation? just lookin through your stuff? and you said you use fxcm too right?

with your profitability have they given you any trouble? how do you feel about the non-ecn?

( What would be the benfits of a non-ecn broker? I looked it up on google and I didn't really find much nenefits of non-ecn over ecn. It was the opposite actually.

non-ecn brokers by definition take the opposite side of your trade everytime, Everytime you profit they are likely to lose money and I have heard of them manipulating prices (yes they can do that) and yes that is illegal but they still do it. And I have heard horror stories of them screwing with very successful traders.

while yes these are "horror" stories from "them" either way i hear far less from ecn brokers.

There are some AMAZING threads on here comparing and contrasting

from my understanding us small time traders will never have a problem with either broker. but in the event of you suddenly doing VERY well as I know foste has. They have been known to host "investigations" where they tie your money up to make sure your not cheating the system

when im scalping my stops are usually < 30 pips, for longer trades my stops are around 100 pips....tight stops will kill your account, im only speaking from experience

really the only thing that i like about micro account is that lot sizes are very flexible. I also trade with fxcm standard account so i know if a price spike is bullshit or not. I really havent had any problems to speak of.

my advice is this....non ecn brokers outside of the US will most likely screw you over if ur making them lose money. FXCM is reputable. I asked them about this, they said that as long as you are trading, they are making money from the spread. Ive never had a problem.

seems like a bottom on the eur/usd I would long with a target of 1.4027 and keep a stop loss 1.3446.
What do you guys think?

hey guys sorry ive been absent this past week....ive had midterms, ill be back tonight with all my charts for everyone....on sunday i set orders and most of them got triggered so Ive let profits run with wide stops, decent profit now....Im currently short USD on a few pairs and long euro pairs. here are my current trades

Lolpie, I dont think anyone that posts here in this thread is an IT major. However, a friend of mine trades forex and is double majoring in IT.

George Mason, pretty good basketball team. Their coach Larranaga went to my high school in NYC.

really to be honest, it doesnt matter what you major in, or ur gpa or what school you went to, or what youve done....all that matters is that you have a contact, THATS LITERALLY THE BOTTOM LINE

Yeah pretty much Business is a BS major, I mean I am Political Science and Economics right now and you can just get an MBA later, unless you really want to be an accountant or CPA but besides that I wouldn't do a undergrad in Business.
