Lol - funny Kim I didn't trade A/U today but did a couple of long scalps on A/J. The reason I wasn't shorting A/U was because of this. Waaaayyyyy too much bearishness in here.

Clouds, Jade Gate helped me to overcome my bias so that I could trade both ways. I still have problems now and again but I'm a lot better. It's a shame she isn't around anymore because she might be able to give you some tips.

In this Thread? This thread has like 5 people, lol. How about this. Pick 5 USD pairs, and go Short/Long, and then check your balance in 4 weeks. If you are making money, u picked the right way....

Why don't you try GBP or even EUR? When I saw that pin I wasn't even going to attempt a short on AUD. I don't like giving my money away unless I'm playing the pokies in Vegas because at least I can have endless frozen margaritas while I am doing it.

Agree. I think the GBP is a good choice.
All are good choices. All will fall like dominos.
Look at GBP/JPY, looks like it'll go to around 75.
If I went to the GBP/JPY thread, people wouldn't accept that, but if I showed chart to person that didn't know about Forex , they'd agree 75 about right.

Hi Clouds, Do you think NZD will weaken? My opinion is that it is highly overvalued against the GBP and USD and that the economy there isnt as good as people think

short eur/usd, gbp/usd, nzd/usd, and aud/usd
long usd/chf, usd/cad

So you are expecting GFC No. 2 to happen soon. It's just that when you are so biased you can miss trading opportunities the other way because it can affect the way you look at charts. I know because I have been there and still struggle from time to time. You are trying to short the currency of one of the strongest economies out there that is also paying quite a handsome rollover/swap. I just keep seeing you getting stopped out and brushing off good analysis that is backed up with charts for a long position. From what I've read today it seems that 98% of posters had a bearish bias - that is a warning signal in itself There are far easier currencies to short like you said.

GFC? Nope, not really. I just expect prices of 2000 to return. After the 2001 attack is when the USD fell, do u think USD is really that bad? Nah... I have SO MANY reasons why I think Gold is going to 300, EU going to .90, Everything back to normal. OIL 150? HAHA, No... EU 1.35? HAHA No....

Yeah, I do but so is the GBP and now it seems the EUR and gawd knows why the Yen is so strong. The only thing in the US$'s favour, imo, is it's reserve currency/safe haven status.

I forgot to say that when I judge US$ strength, I just look at the NZD/USD. It's a teeny weeny country in the backwater with just over 4 million people and it's still trouncing the US$.

Japan has a good GDP, just like the US, , ,, the US built Japan's economy, their currency is doing fine, cause they aren't at war. We'll be out of war in 2011.

Daily candle shows hammer formation. If EUR/USD goes up, it will pull aud/usd as well.

AUD/USD looks me to bullish and it will try to test 0.93 resistance. Also i think rate hike is on card.

can u explain 'how aud/usd look bullish'? i'd like here your view as why.

its very simple, new week , if it opens above the weekly pp then it will move to weekly highs (green lines)

new month, if it opens above monthly pp it will move to monthly highs (yellow lines)

since March will open above 8868, then we go to 91
