I think Bernanke talking about interest rates yesterday was the cause for the tails we saw...

I have read a lot of thread but I think your thread is the best. It help me not only the system but the way of treading and improving my trading skill.

You can thank Phillip. He is the starter of the thread and developed the method which is the same as day one. I've added a few indicators that are not really indicators but a snapshot of what the moving averages are doing that might make it easier to see the rhythm and the breaks in the rhythm. Hope to see you more often!

I wonder if the Combo Box sr included all the material which are in 15minute turning point and 1minute attacking support &resistance and 5minne off the zone
I wonder if the "Combo Box" strategy really contains all 6 strategies material in details or just in brief . If it contains all 6 strategy exactly same as explained each of them, So I do not need to buy all these 6 . Will it be the same if I buy COMBO BOX? Are you sure????!!!

Hi David, allow me to speak an open word:
1. If you want an e-mail reply this smells for me a bit "fishy".
2. If you lost most of your money, you either DIDN´T read the recommended beginners procedures, or you didnt obey those words. Hell, it`s only Philipp who studied this for 2 YEARS, before risking his cash.
3. As you don`t listen nor follow good advice, no sense to buy the combo, it won`t help you, better see a shrink - or sit back, listen to advice, don`t read-but study, papertrade, nanotrade.... 2% and you would be okay.
4. That fabulous package IS complete!!!! But don`t waste your money at your present state of mind and blame the package afterwards.


Best ecommendation: Don`t give the money to Phil (sorry Phil...), pay it into an Oanda account, Study 4hr method, 1hr variation and 5min ---those threads will keep you busy and successful

The Combo Box strategies are not related to the 4hr method but can be used per the 4hr rhythm. The majority of my lower timeframe trades are ONLY in the direction of the 4hr trend.

A few words of advice though: Recognizing the higher timeframe trend is a key element to trade the lower timeframes. When the 4hr is trending well or is giving a trend continuation set-up, this is the, I hate to say the word easiest, but these areas are the most 'predictive' in terms of trading the lower timeframes. But, in order to do this you MUST see the 4hr trend. If it's a choppy market on the 4hr then it can be a choppy market on the lower timeframes too. I simply do not trade those areas of uncertainty and will wait for things to clear up; days or possibly weeks for a given pair.

If you are uncomfortable or are hesitant to buy 'anything' there are plenty of lower timeframe strategies here on the FF that you can use in conjunction with the 4hr method. However, posting those lower timeframe trades here would not be a good idea because of the heart of this thread and the 4hr timeframe. If you are having a string of losses it's always a good idea to just walk away for a while, the markets are not going anywhere. Study the charts and the set-ups where you went wrong along with what longer timeframes are doing; stuck around a Fib #, middle of a channel, etc....This is called homework that every trader must do.

The forum that is dedicated to Phillip's additional strategies is specific ONLY to those methods. When a threaded is started here on the FF with a certain method the majority of them fall by the wayside because there are too many posts that stray away from the original idea which eventually gets lost and the thread dies. I'm all for improving a method as long as the basis remains the same and 20 extra indicators are not added.

Please keep these posts relevant to the 4hr thread here and PM me or Phillip concerning the FXC.

The Combo box won't help you with the 4 hr macd strategy. All of those strategies are limited to the shorter time frames. Instead of buying the combo box, you could subscribe to Phil's trading journal. I believe that it is free for at least a month and contains all of Phil's trades before he makes them. http://www.phillipnel.co.za/c10/Trading-Journal.aspx It is worth a try. At least you can see what price action Phil is looking at before he makes the trades and if you are a newbie that is very helpful.

And of course there is plenty of excellent knowledge here on this forum for free. You should read this thread at least twice from the beginning and study some of the other well known threads too.

I didn't like the follow through with the consumer sentiment this morning so I stayed out. This is the 5min chart with the spike down then back up after that news. I don't trade these indys on the 5min but just looking at the price action in the blue box when the news was released kept me away. The 4hr looks like it still wants to go south though....

Well done Palmer . Yes, the 21 still holds. I jumped in earlier because I thought that it may give a huge TC signal with no chance to enter, maybe what is happening now. Let's see...

I am anticipating a breakout towards the upper trend line. Lets monitor and see if it is going towards this direction.

I rely more on horizontal support/resistance. The price is in the channel now, I would trade the breakout and retracment and my target will be the nearest resistance.
