Not shorting the AUD/USD pair, but have a bias on stronger USD. So using the EUR/USD and GBP/USD for shorts because of their negative fundamentals... (ala kicking them while they are down )...

Smart move. Keep it up. In my case as I took 300+ points on GBP/USD last week, Iouldnt go short again unless it retraces up atleast another 100 points. But Euro I think has lots more to offer.

Zooming in a little on the chart posted earlier. London bulls don't seem to have done much convincing work tonight, we had some buyers initially but looks like they have abandoned ship in favour of ranging around the MPP.

My guess is if there is some gold buying to be done on the COMEX tonight, it will be done at a lower price than the one we currently stand at. Possibly DPP/WPP/50FR confluence on the AUD will attract the fabled China bid.

Thin red line you can just see at the top of the chart is seriously bearish resistance.

Otherwise, prepare for boring, possibly with a light shower when NY equities come online (sleepy time for me).

Just in case that's how it goes down, I have prepared a complex fundamental analysis chart of the USD to prepare us for the coming months.........

The trading day is not over but so far it is a hammer forming on daily candle in aud/usd.

I am long since morning- Swing trading- 1-5 days holding period.

Very quiet thread these days. This is as far back as my MT4 demo goes. I've got a low of 1.3521 in January 1985. I don't think it would be a surprise if it gets there. I'm so down on GBP. Why does it seem that everyone is down on their own currency? All the Aussies seem to expect AUD to melt down.

you might have to use the gbpusd and audusd to calculate it..... audgbp ..... an all time high there would equate to an all time low for the gbpaud......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

When AUD went down last time, GBP/AUD went up 7,000 pips!

Yeah, that pair is a stayer like the AUD. Problem is I don't like trading it very much. I had real problems getting the direction right in the past and tried to pick the bottom in 2007. I had quite a lengthy wait until it came back to me

yen pairs look to be in reversal mode, usd/jpy bounced off upper down trend TL. I wouldn't be surprised to see that pair at 10.

I was trading it after the spike in 2008 around the 2.50 levels. Had never traded it before. No analysis was needed. I just sold the GBP at every opportunity. It was moving 100 pips in the blink of an eye. By the time I set my T/P the position was closing itself out. It was awesome. If only I had held on to a few positions.

yea, the yen pairs are getting smoked, esp. cad/jpy, im still hanging on to my 'non-moving' aud/usd. Tomorrow, or tonight should be a good time sell yen pairs probably.

Since it's slowing down, I just thought I'd share something random. If you use a MACD and OsMA crossover signal on 30M chart have volumes on there too. Add a 970 level on the volume chart and it gives any trading decisions based on those crossovers some support. If volumes are above 970 at the crossover, the move is more substantial and you can tighten your stops and not have to worry as much about noise. On the flip, if vols are below 970, the move will be less, you will be more likely to be taken out by noise and your max pip potential is less. I just was bore and felt like sharing. Simple is best and this work well for me. Hope you all did well last session!

I think Nobody saw my previous post, Im trying to find a software or platform where i can set an alarm when high volatility hits the market, like when any currency moves fast in any direction.

I use in the past universal FX it has signals service and a loud "high volatility" alert and gets active when the market moves fast and or any of the currencies is doing a rally a dip or a spike.

any of u could recomend me a software that does this?
