Thanks mate, thats what I have been hanging for. I loaded some more shorts at 1102. Been making the PIPS on Dow and AUD, and giving it to Gold. Lets hope it pays. I am now short on DOW and Gold.

seems all on the same track here (including me), just wondereing nobody on the long side here or just all bulls scared .

AUD is stuck at the support 8888, nice round chinese no, on a chinese nw year. If it breaks clear then we will see lower lows.

I'm a new FX trader and trying to close my Long on AUD/USD today. I know we have a banking holiday today, but thought that because other markets are still open (London) that I could close out my position. I was in profit but am losing it fast. I have tried manually closing it on the MT4 and also on my FX Pro software. First I get the message: "Order accepted" and then a few minutes later it says "Off Quotes". Can anyone tell me what I can do now?

try restarting mt4 and then close

Thank you for your response. I did close and restart MT4 but it didn't work. I'll keep trying. Are you able to open and close orders even though it is a US holiday? (I'm in the US).

i'm in the uk and so is my broker.

try phoning your broker, so they can close it manually.

I'm in US and I use Fxpro, and I have opened and closed multiple trades during last hours, why dont you use thier live chat support- they are helpful most of the time

I'll also go short soon, I'd like a reversal around 0,8915...
but I don't mind a new high either.

I dont think there will be much positive in the news. It may go up a tick o gice us better position for shorting.

The Australian dollar opened slightly higher on Tuesday after a flat overnight session as concerns continued about sovereign debt in Greece.
At 0700 AEDT, the Australian dollar was trading at $US0.8891/95, up 0.27 per cent from Monday's close of $US0.8867/71.
Between 1700 AEDT and the local open, the unit traded between $US0.8865 and $US0.8910.
With US markets closed for the President's Day public holiday on Monday, OZForex corporate dealer Darren Richardson said the overnight session had been quite flat.
"We saw a very quiet overnight session," Mr Richardson said.
"Equities were closed, having little to no effect on the currencies, so really it was a very flat day for the Aussie."
He said traders would be looking to the release of the minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) February board meeting during the domestic session.
"I think it's going to be a pretty flat comment, with not a great deal of direction on interest rates being released to the public."
The results of an NAB Business confidence survey, due to be released on Tuesday morning, were unlikely to move the local currency, Mr Richardson said.
"Once again, they will be waiting for the US to come back into the market."
Financial markets are awaiting the outcome of a meeting of European Union (EU) finance ministers on Greece's sovereign debt.
"We'll see what's going to happen in the Greece situation and probably go into a holding pattern until after the (US) holiday.
"The main factor is still going to be Greece and what the EU decides to do to help them.
"Right now it's just a matter of wait and see."
Mr Richardson forecast the Australian dollar to move between $US0.8800 and $US0.8900 during domestic trade.

The February RBA Board Minutes will be released at 00:30GMT and are expected to show a balanced outlook with a hawkish bias, driven by upcoming data and the global situation. The futures market currently prices in a 38% chance of a rate rise in March, down from 45% on Friday. NAB Confidence data is also due at 00:30 GMT and should be positive.
Another session of range trading is favoured today in Asia, with most centers still closed for the Chinese New Year holiday. Strong local fundamentals and the positive carry provide underlying support for the AUD, so unless there is fresh negative news for global investor sentiment, the AUD should remain strong on the crosses. Offers around 0.8910/25 provide resistance, with the 21 day moving average at 0.8912, while the bids around 0.8850 are the first line of support.
