You are 100% correct on this. I suffer from at thing called sleep apnea. People have been know to die from this. Usually complications from not getting deep sleep or not breathing during sleep. But not getting the deep sleep that you talk about does lead to many other problems including heart and respiratory issues. That's why I say only get up for 1 or 2 times a week. That way you can participate in the London open but not over do it and deprive yourself too much of sleep.

You could trade this market almost 24 hours a day but doing so could make you sick. You have to make time to take care of yourself.

Special Forces soldiers are trained not to experience deep sleep because an enemy can sneak in on you and kill you any time. Even in their sleep they are always partially aware of their environment. When you are going to spend months deep behind enemy lines..you dont have the luxury of deep sleep behind enemy lines....
This is all true but you can have issues from not getting enough sleep. I heard of some Japanese guys that died from overwork. Like I posted earlier...the good thing about this is that if your body is screaming at you to sleep you can always take the night off and there's not a boss to criticize you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have made the right modification to the rule #6. Your suggestion makes sense.

I read a bunch of JACKO posts too...funny guy. I like the elegant simplicity of his system. Personally, i dont like the anti-hedge stuff. If i am wrong in the market, i am wrong. I take my loss and look for another setup.

DanUK seems to have expanded this technique to all the USDs. In the begining he was only focusing on the GBP/USD and EUR/USD, now it includes the USD/JPY, AUD/USD, NZD/USD, USD/CHF, USD/CAD. Using 2 X atr14 as the trailing SL.

It is always nice to see the simplest method works great. I mean, all they do, if i understand it correctly is this:

Find a nice trend.
Wait for a 50% FIB retracement to S/R level and enter.(danuk, want 50% and RN to fit or a 50pips bounce from that S/R level then enter.)
Use 100 pips SL or 2 x atr 14 of the pair in question.
Trail by 2 x atr 14.

More or less.
Simple but ridiculously effective.

HECTOR, JACKO, DANUK method are just bloody similar. Although i will say that hector method is a bit more....refined....it seems to me.

I found this interesting view of S/R levels while going through BRV thread...s/he called himself WMD...What are your analytical takes on this view of S/R levels? What do you lads think?

thanks for bringing that thread up. I just read through it, quite interesting, very similar to brv's thread. Essentially, it is almost the same thing I like to do. Find levels that should hold in direction of the trend.
I think his take on S/R levels is very good, again very similar to BRV's view.

yeah, it's a very good method as well. Essentially most methods here are almost the same, just variations of each other. Some use targets, others trailing stop, some a fixed stop others variable stops... In the end, they should all work more or less, it's just a matter of finding the best combination of factors or methods.

Really looking forward to implementing the TT rules i listed earlier. And of course, hoping that LOB presents us with opportunities this monday.

Good guess but they are both Brazilian. By the way....a butt in Portuguese is called a "bunda" (pronounced boonda). So goes the Portuguese lesson for today. Now lets make some pips so I can pay my mortgage on my Brazilian beach house!

after read all thread, my guess is i have the idea of this method and beleive is good, for tt why not consider a candle pattern in a lower time frame, just an idea,

Thanks Entropy for the photos and the TT rules. I printed them and I'm going to search for TT entries this week.

Being new to the TT thing would the 1.3700 be a good level for TT. How likely is it that the EUR/USD would be able to get back to that level?

I thought I would post the EURCAD pair, this looks like it has the potential for a good LOB candidate, I am thinking this might retrace back up some but just in case it is not ready yet, It meets the LOB requirements...

Hi all
Great thread, have read it from start and glad to see the input from experienced traders. I am a forex newbie from NthQld (Oz) and havent traded yet, so am attempting to see if I am doing this right by getting some feedback on what you think.
Today (15Feb) EURUSD on a 15mTF has significant support just above support level 1.36 (RN?) 3MA's are trending evenly (although close to 100pMA). Current sideways pricing is at 50% fib retrace.

Would this be a potential short sell after a breakout below the support at 1.359? or have I missed something?
