unemployment have nothing do with aud/usd value, cause when unemployment was at lowest, the aud/usd was at lowest value, and when unemployment started getting better, aud/usd started drop, (from monthly/weekly perspective), but i'm discounting us unemployment rates, so maybe i dont make sense

Hi All,
I havent traded much this week, been busy with work. Last night fell asleep on my desk, luckily I had exited a short. Overall doesnt look I missed much this week.
The sudden drop in the indices since 15th of Jan, looked muchly oversold. I expected a bounce from lows in Dow which would lead other indices. I think that that bounce is now out of puff, and will shortly start to drop (Dow). AUD is becoming more and more attractive to short, and so is Euro, along with Gold. I am currently short on AUD (.8898 filled just before), Euro 1.3798, and Gold 1080. Waiting to short Dow in the later session of NY if I am awake. I have put wide SL as I wont be near my computer tomorrow.

I'm going out on a limb here.. what do people think of the possibility that it cycles back up to 9100 before dumping back to 8500 (over the next month or so)? Of course the timing depends on news. But there appears to be someone out there who is still hungry for risk.

Not much news out in the US session, Monday is a public Holiday there, so not much of data to push it up higher than what it is. I reckon its going to be sideways. The resistance at 8910 seems difficult to cross.

The lack of news should surely be seen as positive because any trend in place shouldn't (famous last words) be dislodged.

However, I think it's worth noting the US stock market opeing (in difficult economic times this can exaggerate Fx moves).
