if this is not so demanding i would like to know how many people here trade forex for living and have the only source of income as a full time traders.

i am full time trader but yet i am not trading forex for living,my be in next 3-5 months time.

I think i would go crazy if i ever traded forex full time and as my sole source of income. The lack of social interaction and constant monitoring of charts does not go down too well with me or my trading style.

I think my ideal "trading life" would be working a "proper job" part-time 2-3 days/week for 6hr each day. The other time would be for trading/resting etc

Im a fulltime trader but its my 2nd source of income... Its very hard to be a winner inthe end... Coz following are the things which will always stop you to be a winner inthe end!

1) Your emotions and fear of losing money
2) Your Broker
3) & finally the always changing behaviour of market which is the biggest reason

If you think you can beat all these factors than you can just relay on forex for living...

Tooooooo volatile this market as to depend on it. And given that emotions over trading lead to bad decision making…imagine if I live of it!!!!

I am a student trying to become a professional internal auditor and i have 2 thoughts in my mind- should i try for a full time job or try to continue to trade full time?

I trade only breakouts/high probability trade on monthly Time frame, so all i need is 1 hour every day to analyse the daily chart.

I can very well trade with a full time job but the lifestyle in full time service job is horrible.

My friend and I have been day trading swing trading stocks since 2001, and he recently made the move to a full time trader. It's very demanding and he's been doing it for like 7 months and he's making 6 figures. But that's not the point its what you put into it. I trade from 8pm till2am and occasionally put in a few trades at work my day job... You just have to figure out what you want to do as a trader short term long term, swing etc.,

Am a trader trading forex for a living. I been professional and my only income source for about 10 months. I am one of a small bunch of professional traders, theres 10 or 11 of us, that are all Jacko group traders. Most of us have changed our lives and become traders. Two or three were existing pro traders. We trade more pairs than Wayne and we trade some shorter time frames but the basic systems are the same. There are some other pro traders in Jackos group but they keep to themselves.
Trading. I am loving it.

My guess is that less than 10% of people on this forum are full time traders. Most people come on these forums to learn. If you already know how to be a successful trader why would you be here? A select few might come to share their knowledge and pick up some ideas, but most won't. I could be wrong though.

Full time traders hang out here because the Factory is a social place and you can talk to folks with similar a interests.

I would love to trade full time, it seems so far away at the moment though...lol.

The lack of interaction with people just does not bother me.....why go out to work for someone else and make them the serious cash....when you can take it easy at home and make a load more cash ??

I have a wife and daughter to interact with along with a few good friends here and there....who needs work colleagues ?? They are all to_ser's anyway...lol.
As you can tell...."I hate my job".
