I took profits on aud and euro longs last night but I think there will be another swing up today, the dollar index is almost in position to go back down again. I'm not going to trade longs again though, just shorts when I see a good position.

Everything is possible. But it would seem, the trend for today, the week and the month is down. I opened and closed 5 different positions, today totaling more than 100 pips, playing the short side. Money could have been made trading the long side, but I do not trade against the main trend, to me less of a risk.

Looking at the charts, I just don't see anything saying to me, be long.

I don't trade on what should happen, I try my best to trade on what is happening.

I see the current chart is a slight slope to the upside, within the downward channel - reaching for the outside. Typical movement before it dumps.

There is a confluence of resistance at or about .8650 (trendline, MA's S/R and round number). An area of shorting interest to me ... depending on the PA at that point.

Hmm,

Look trade just what you see not what you expect or what is "main" trend.I said "main" becouse you see trend sell from 1,2,3,4, days ago and you think that is now trend. No that was a trend before 1,2,3,4 days,this is Forex and when you forgot history you can win...When i was undestud that i was begin to earn huge pips in Forex This is just my advice

1st positions entered for the short side at 8654 stops at 8658. If stopped out i will look for 8710 but i'm not convinced it will rise that far today. Yesterday the S&P was supporting an upward movement, today it is not.
Also shorted eu at 1.3670.

Targets 8554 and 1.3542.
