I know your pain, I'm EST as well. There was a setup later on the NZDUSD that I wished I had seen today. This is a great system, patience for the setups is key. And the setups do come along fairly regularly with plenty of pips. There are usually a number of people on here for the Asian session to help you out as well.

Thanks Pipnut...I agree it's a great system and what I'm learning is that the patience, while trying at times, comes with a great payoff. I've been trading and trying different styles but I don't ever remember coming so close to triple digit gains before. It really makes the waiting worth it.

Custos....That correct...I think it starts around 7:00pm.That's really when I can sit and watch without any disturbance. I have made some money with the NZD and the AUD pairs during that time as well.

I didn't see your response here earlier NM, thank you! I'm hoping I don't regret jumping out too early but then pips in the hand are always good no matter what. I was just about to ask you what you had for Support when you closed your trade. I had picked up a minor S level at 780 and was waiting to see the reaction there before closing out my trade. And generally the night before the NFP is often a sideways market soo...we'll see.

Pip Dawg,

Same here, I've tried numerous systems but so far this is the first to get me where I am making trades of 50 pips or more on a regular basis. And actually I have closed some trades much earlier than I should have because I just started with it recently myself. I haven't gained a longer term confidence in this system yet. But it is growing with every passing trade.

Aaah yes....that is what I find myself doing as well. I get out prematurely. That is why I say that I kind of get in my own way sometimes rather than let the trade go naturally. With this system I feel much more relaxed with the trade. Confidence will come with time I believe.

Really that trade was perfect, the MA lines are only an indicator, and it is still all about support and resistance, buying and selling off those levels, the MA lines really can tell you whether a trade is a tame trend or not, if it is a really wild trend where the lines are not lined up like they should be that could be indication the trend is not really stable enough for a low risk trade.

So I do not necessarily wait for price to come back to them, I just want to see them in order and pointing the same direction, then I know the trend is established enough to trade, and from there I can start looking for entries.

So your trade the way you placed it is fine, it is an aggressive approach but really in a well defined trend it should not pose a real problem. You had the S/R level where wanted it.

You know what? Your bathroom may be made of solid gold, but my bathroom is truly a work of art. Something i will expect an engineer to appreciate. I just finished some clever renovation on it:

Now that we are awaiting some retracements from the quakes earlier today, I thought I would post an idea for the keeping a good trade journal.

I added an errors chart to my trade journal, this way the you can see how the errors are stacking up over time and it gives you a chance to correct them so you do not make the same mistake over again.

This is still a project in the works but I am getting closer to the end of it I think...

I appreciate that. I did pick the points but I have to admit that I feel there was a bit of luck involved in that one but nonetheless I will take it and keep looking for the setups.
