Think you're right with the setup Middleastern. This is exactly how I'm running it as well. And on a VPS with Reconnect EA. Just want to leave it to run and not interfere, to see what happens.

Your post gives me an idea. Using KG RS GROUP V1.1, we trade the highest in the group against the lowest, using trigger values of, say, 90/10. For example, GBP is highest at > 90. USD is lowest at < 10. We sell GU. Other pairs can trade as they become the extremes.

That is the simplest version. We could try this first, then expand into including reference to trends if need be.

I shall start thinking about this.

Here's a statement after just 2 days of running Scoob's EA in post 5153 with default settings. I have been closing some out just 'cos they're in profit, or applying a 15-25 pip TS if I was near the PC, but it definitely warrants further investigation.

I haven't seen anybody else comment on this EA, unless I missed it.

I have added a couple more inputs to Opposite Positions V1. BoxHigh and BoxLow allow you to define your own 'trading box'.

The corrected hedge code is working and is making this robot a potent weapon. I am beginning to have high hopes for it.

Any luck taking the original to v2.3 with those extra ideas we all had before? (time based exits and few others from memory)

I know that multicurreny is not possible backtesting, I tried on one pair, and MT4 just work, and work, and ... nothing

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.
For start, I think H4 period for KG indi with 85/15 levels should filter nicely and trigger a fair trade frequency.

Trend detection is always a difficult task. I like using BollingerBand of MACD on M15, that I post few days ago.

I am testing it but have doubts about why is not taking trades the way
should be, ie, frequency of trades.

Even worse, Steve's EA doesn't use the server time, it uses the local computer time.

So when you run the backtester, it will not "time warp" for those local time calls to "what they were", those will remain the local physical time.

I used the standard MACD settings of 12,26,9 with Signal alert on.

DO NOT USE IT ON M1 .
