Yeh I know, but wouldnt it be nice to know these kind of moves are going to be? Especially in the direction your already trading? I know I am asking for something that cant be but a brazillian beach houses would be one heck of a write off....LOL

Hey guys...I guess the excitement is pretty much over for the day. I have been so busy at work that I have not been able to sit in front of the screen and mind any trades. I'd like to post a chart of one of my trades to illustrate what happens with me when I just stay out of my own way and let the trades do what they do.

Before I left my house this morning I noticed that the NZD/USD had broken the .700 level. I know that it was no where near the dynamic S/R level that Hector teaches but I thought that I would put in a sell limit at .6995 and a stop loss at .7020. I thought if I got a BPC to the 00 that I would get filled and hopefully the downtrend would continue. I figured the worst thing that could happen is I lose 25 pips and no big deal. I put a take profit order at .6900. This was a completely hands off trade. I should have moved my stop down but I just did not have the time as I'm at work.

I just think it's insane that I'm at work making money and I came back from lunch with a 95 pip profit. Please don't read this as gloating. I'm just sharing and showing what can happen even when there are challenges with work hours and schedules.

Nicely done. I like these stories. They are always encouraging you do better. People who thinks this is gloating are just jealous. Especially, since this hector method is not some super secret fancy fazzle indicator-nonsense. It is a clear as day and open to anybody willing to learn. Please, share your stories, i like to learn, and be encouraged.

(one thing though: dont take imperfect setups. Patience is difficult...i am still learning it, we all are. there is always another day.)

yes, I got a very high win-loss ratio + a very high R:R actually. But I can only trade them with the trend. If I ever dare to trade them against the trend you can be sure that I get stopped out. Also I find it easier to set the right targets when it's with the trend.

If you think about adding them to your arsenal be very conservative in your entry requirements: very obvious S/R level, with the trend, near a fib number, maybe in accordance with a trend-line...
At least those are my requirements, but here the time of the day doesn't matter a lot, since I am not searching for momentum, just for a reaction.
And be very aggressive for your first target, which should be the next S/R level (choosing the right one is kind of discretionary, comes with experience).

Overall, I can really recommend them, but you just have to be good in identifying strong S/R levels and the right PA leading up to them.

Entropy....

That is what bothered me about this...the setup was not the best. That is my challenge. Being able to identify the setup but being able to be there to take advantage at the right time is very difficult sometimes. I'm in the US (east coast) and need to sleep (although sometimes I don't during London open) and sometimes duty calls and I can't be in front of the screen when I'm at work. It is a challenge but I stay positive and just try to balance things as best I can. I think I have it better than some.

Someone else in this thread had a similar situation and that was my motivation for posting it.

I think asian open would be very suitable for you. That should be in the evening in the US if I am not mistaken, a lot of good setups also happen during the asian open.
