OP thanks for your efforts I am going to review your work and see if I can apply this to my trading. I generally do not like to use a lot of indicators since they are lagging, but if you use them to build bias such as you have done I see no problem with it.

U're right. I've just added another check to alert only when the ChikouSpan also confirms a certain bias.

Hopefully that should reduce the amount of false alerts. Have a go for another day or two to see how much that improves.

I have been working on an EA using Ichimoku on 15 minute charts and I have found I get much better results from back testing by not taking any entries during the Sydney session. Some of them may be good trades but 10 years back testing tells me best to avoid them.

It means beware. I don't really like bullish TK crosses when the K is still moving in the opposite direction, it means the equilibrium point is not settled yet. I would wait and look for further signs (of bullishness) before committing to the buy.

The downflick was caused by the huge bearish candle 27 periods ago, this should correct itself soon.

And here it is three hours later. it will probably correct so if you missed it you can re-enter on bounce from flat kumo.

KS is the median of the highest high and lowest low for the past 26 periods, so a huge candle like that one would affect the direction of KS in a similar way, and if the next candles did not correct, then the KS would have continued it's downward journey along with the TS and the TS/KS cross would have failed or would not have occured in the first place.

Could I ask a request, would it be possible to add the 4h Kijun sen cross?

It is happening all the time - good to know for counter trend trading.

Yes , but the chinkou span is still bearish, or do you just trade kumo breakouts?

When the candle at A was formed the cloud was 26 periods ahead of the price at AA. At that time the top of the cloud was at level BB.
Price tends to return to the level BB

This is a general observation and, no I do not have trades based on this. I only keep it in mind when I trade counter trend.
