I think there will be another push down still this week. My reasoning for this has more to do with the euro than Aud. The euro still has a pattern to complete down to 1.3810 sometime this week, unless this is going to be one of the 1-2 times a year where this pattern fails. This should take all usd pairs with it I would imagine.

Not sure why everyones looking to go long, all this is is a 60% fib retracement on a downswing..
Least thats what all the signs point to.. inverted hammer with long wick at 60 fib lvl and also long time resistance line after a major downswing because of an upsetting release.. at least in the mid term this suckers goin down not up. The aud is still majorly overvalued. plus nfp comes out in a few days, all major signs of bearish manuevering.

That's strange, because the sentiment in here is decidedly bearish. I didn't see anyone saying they are going long in the last few pages. I was only showing a chart that could be interpreted as long - all depending on your perspective of course.

I took a short @0.8825 and 0.8860 and will add to them @0.8900

actually quite a few people seem bullish with aud/usd.
I dont think we will see 8900 though, I believe it will test that fib lvl a few times then head back south.

going into the asia session in 15 min, the nikkei futures are pointing higher, gold and oil are holding there gains from earlier, and so are the AUD and NZD. IMO, it looks like there is still a good appetite for risk... IMO, we see good AUD trade #'s tonight.

actually i should be MORE EASY to turn, but anyway , IMO, aud/usd isn't even a proven bearish pair, though I KNOW it will be, but right now it's ranging at top - basically , my view now is eur was first to turn extremely bearish, and i am fairly certain ALL pairs will turn bearish against USD, but it may take more time

NZD is on the move and AUD is right behind... commodities arent moving these pairs either right now, its just dollar weakness and the fact that asian futures are up IMO...

Firstly, how do you know what the trend is?

DETERMINE THE TIME FRAME THAT YOU WANT TO TRADE.

1. If the graph on the chart starts in the bottom left hand corner and ends in the top right hand corner, the market is going UP.

2. If the graph on the chart starts in the top left hand corner and ends in the bottom right hand corner, the market is going DOWN.

3. If you are still confused, print it off and show it to a 5 year old...they will get it right EVERY time...LOL

if you guys have usd/nok, usd/sek, or usd/dkk, you'll see better the medium-term trend now is clearly to sell the dollar.

I thought you had long-term shorts. Can you hedge or are you not holding shorts anymore? It always seems to take more time when it comes to my trades - lol

Thank goodness they didn't raise last night because I had some shorts at 0.8840 that I thankfully closed out at 0.8800 when I got up this morning. Was thinking that I might have to sit on them for a few days paying that awful swap

As they say America sneezes and Australia will catch the cold. Fundamentally speaking, the US has nothing going for it in the immediate future. There are more problems that will surface shortly than last year. We are still not finished with the problems in Dubai, Spain, Italy and Greece. They will have to re-surface again. The Dow looks like its run out of Puff. With all these in the background, when the S&P and the Dow fall, then there goes any hopes for risk curencies such as AUD, NZD.

On technical analysis, my charts indicate a bottom of 9950 in the Dow ( next leg down), and lower in the one after. This should bring the AUD down to .76 or so within the next 4-6 weeks. This is just my take and I stand to be corrected.
