Hey Someone,

I had the same issue on Friday when i took the EURJPY Short..............i scanned the Dashboard and there was no Red on it but when i went to the charts i noted the pair was trending downwards based on the solid 3SMAs and i went short....made some 72Pips and prior to that i had gone long based on MACD and Price Divergence.

Probably what you are trying to ask is, if Hector recommends scanning the Dashboard to see if any pair is trending.....why would the DB show no trend and yet if you go the charts you will notice there is a definate trends?

Someone, i would recommend scanning the charts should be more important that the Dashboard. Ever since i purchased Hector's i have notice what you are mentioning depending on which broker you are using. Some of the brokers do not even allow the Dashboard...............hope this helps................

HI All,

took GBP/USD:

Confluence factors:
1hr TF:
trend down, small asian range 40pips, bouncing off 100%fib of fridays movement;

15min TF:
dynamic Resistance holds, 38-61Fib of friday holding, counter trend line breaking, 8:00 candle = b-p-c, and "$GBPUSD tumbles as FSA's Turner says carry trades economically valueless"

SL = 3pips above high of 7:00, TP = 45, opted out on retrace @ +40

I'm eying EUR/USD 1H myself. got P&C sell at 1.3925 sl 1.3955 tp 1.3865

btw: I'm using the currensys calculator since a wekk and I must say that it's brilliant. google it and check it out..ITS FREE :-)

That would be the Swiss central bank intervening and trying to keep the value of the Franc at what they conceive to be a reasonable level against the Euro. I don't know the reasons behind it, I'm a trader not an economist, but suffice to say that every time they've intervened, the market has shot up a couple of days after. Just worth bearing in mind if anybody is short on the CHF pairs.

I am watching the EU at the moment, was hoping I would get the bpc before my news block out period but it does not look like it is going to happen.

HI Someone,
I have noticed on some of the pairs, if the MA lines cross anywhere on the chart the DB will show no trend, and then on others it will show a trend. The dashboard indicator is only an indicator and I find it more useful if trends are developing on multiple time frames rather than just 1 or 2 of the time frames.

I really do not use it very often, I would rather just look the charts over, the trend filter pro is pretty good but again it is an indicator and still takes good scanning of the charts to really understand what is going on.

I have mine setup so I can see all the charts at once on a bunch of mini charts, then I pick out the best looking ones and create a profile and open the charts up in that profile and then I only see the ones I am really interested in at the time.

Agree on EU and GU, any thoughts on EJ and AU - I find them a bit short on confluence.

The AU pair needs more retracement in my imo and the EJ pair retracements are getting to deep, the lower lows and lower highs are not spacing themselves far enough apart, its getting to the point where I am thinking this pair might be in a turn around stage, neither one of those pairs are really safe to trade at the moment, at least in imo, I have scratched both of those pairs off my list, I just do not like the way PA looks right now.

I might be wrong and they both may take off but until it tames down in one direction or another I am staying out of both of those.

I sure like the way the EU is setting up at the moment, it is almost where it needs to be for the next big move to the down side, unless the news messes it all up for us.

Actually I'm already in that trade. my p&c got hit. Since my RR is much better than the 50% change that the news is pushing the market against me, I really don't care. in fact i never know why people why have RR that are greater than 1:2 worry about the news. I 'm only careful not to have a P&C order that trades into the price around news.

AUD/USD did exactly what I hoped for. I retraced to last weeks low of 0.8832 I'm in that bad boy as well.

earlier I took another trade: GBP/JPY short of course :-) -15 at the moment but very promising

BTW i reduced the number of lots of course so these 3 trades cover 5% of my account.
