Excellent observation to spot reversal pattern, a shooting star is quite reliable in 4hrs and daily chart too.

Many thanks, very helpful. I have a newbie question :

We are looking at the 4H timeframe. Letsay we have 4H timeframe chart like above. We begin to trade at point (1). Out at point (3). It's all at the same time frame ?

Or we look at 4H timeframe, as it's at point (1), we look at 5M timeframe. Begin to trade if there is a long signal at 5M timeframe. Then we look again at 4H timeframe to see when we must out.

Or we look at 4H timeframe, as it's at point (1), we look at 5M timeframe for begin to trade, then stay at 5M until it give us signal to sell.

1) Which one is better ?
2) For 4H we need more spare: if the SL (below line of kumo) is > 4% of our MM. Is it ok ? Or it's better to stay at our 4% of MM ?

Hi Pedma,

U're welcome mate, I'm glad you find it useful.

I actually really dont know how to answer to your questions as in my opinion both these points are very much dependant on trader's personality.

For some, its helpful to keep switching between different timeframes and make timely and wise decisions based on the information the trader gathers from this perspective ... however there are cases when a Trader gets confused when he / she swtiches from one TF to another and he ends up being out of the market most of the time because he spots more reasons to see too many Resistance and Support areas on charts and assumes that there isnt much opportunity to trade.

Your second question regarding MM again depends on person's attitude towards risk/reward thingy ... I generally stick to 2.25% MM strategy though but thats not to say a Standard / best practice in any sense ...

Just a quick question

Do you follow the daily direction o the breakout or just take the 4h break no matter what?

I do look for Breakout confirmations but doesnt necessary to be in line with DailyTF because there are situations when a new trend has esablished on 1H which will eventually drag 4H and in the end DailyTF in that new direction ...

EDIT: BTW, Kumo Breakout is quite a powerful feature, it will tell you itself whether its a real breakout or not ...

Just to learn what is the mean of price equilibrium
the price bars is far away than the TS and also KS very unstable

ichimoku 9.17.26
15m price is very far from TS & KS and to be stable have to move back to it for coreection

30m TF TS and KS move as one line horizontal and the price far from them so correction will happen 85% and maybe price touch TS and move lower than or find support this will be according to TS moves

Hello Vic and team.

Thank you for your efforts here with this thread Vic. It has inspired me to return to trading after about 18 months on the sidelines.

What I find appealing about this system is not only the entries that you can find but also the potentially disastrous trades that it can keep you out of if you apply a little common sense and restraint. (Not always easy if you have an 'ichi' trigger finger like myself).

Please keep us up to date with your trades. It's always inspiring to see someone making progress at this game.

I had a nice day today with trading Hang Seng Futures as I was able to wake up early today and got a nice entry into the Long Trade. As you can see in charts I moved my SL higher to the LOW of DOJI candle but that was never taken out ...


I finally closed the trade at 20, 400 level as the market should be closed soon and I generally keep myself away from the inactive market hours while trading Futures ...

Take a look at the charts. Doji on 1 hr. I am looking for a pullback to 1 hr ks area to long.

Long G/J at 146.28.

Anyone else?

EDIT: Cashed out 90% at +52, remaining 10% at +62. Jesus, was having a minor heart attack when G/J wavered at the 146.50 mark while USD and CHF shot ahead!! In hindsight G/U was the better pair to take.

I know of a big lot of shorts clustered at 147.00, so I'm out of the market. There is potential to go to 147.45 though. Live to fight another day.
