What move are you talking about there is no move by the aus it is just a bounce from the Trend Line..Also Have a look at the Dollar Index you can see the range that we are stuck in......hence I have posted the charts

I personally went long on Aussie at bounce.for a 20 pip scalp which was done with perfection without being afraid to take the trade the trade finished within about 35 mins which is a good time vs profit ratio..

i attach my chart, i think tomorrow morning the price will break out.

i've already short @0.9034.. tp +-15 and stop lost @0.9080

what is your comment?

I am sorry but ..I really dont understand your entry... what is the significance of your trade....

You are short in consolidation zone...

The Three important zones for traders are .....
1.Upper TL....Short Trade....
2. Lower TL....Long Grade...
3. Consolidation Zone...No Trade
4. Extreme PA Zones...Excellent Trade..( 1st touch trade)

When you enter a trade see which zone you are in...

IMHO you have entered in a consolidation zone which means
1. A very lengthy trade
2. A 50/50 trade...as there is no technical significance of the price
3. More chances of the trade hitting UTL then Breaking the LTL
4.If they wanted to break the utl why is it taking so long surely Sellers would like to sell at a higher price than a non volume zone...

Hey there Geppy!
Good post and explanation again. Also seen the charts you posted before.
Today I was also only in for a short-term trade. After bouncing of that very nice 0.9090 area for almost 50 pips.
For now I'll stay out as I only see range-trading.
Maybe Asia session will bring some clear direction later.
Would try to catch it with limit orders.. but whenever I tried that before it didn't really work out for me.
Maybe just set the entry lower to avoid to get triggered by a little spike below?

I should have traded this pair.. was looking at gu. u must have done something right to get in at 90.25..
Before Forex I was tall, and clean shaven. Now I am an Ewok.

25 has been a pretty strong level in the past few days. I honestly was expecting a higher move considering what some of the other pairs and gold have done today.

I have tried in the past couple of weeks to improve some of the stratergies and trading methods and help newbies so they understand all entries, exits and stops....

I have been pretty conservative today, netting about 22 PIP's. Monday's can be a bit tricky, and it takes a little while for my indicators to catch up with my charts. Anyway, I think that I am on my last trade for the day. Took a little chance, and I might go ahead and cash it out. I took a short at .9049 with a TP of .9035. I was thinking that we might see at least .9019, but it just doesn't look that promising. My SL is .9060 so I think that I am safe to at least bank a little out of this two lot short.

Oh, I didn't mention that this is my second short on this leg, I cashed that one out at 12 PIP's just before it consolidated. $GOX.X almost closed at the daily low, while this was consolidating so I thought that we would see a little more down movement. The dollar index had some good movement early, but has just about flatlined since.

Great opportunity on the pound today. I try to stay away from it though.
Took a couple of scalps on the CHF, but there just wasn't much movement.

Here's my short term trade I took on the AUD and obvious why I took it.

I believe price is headed downwards on this pair. There is resistance near .9055 and .9095. I am also using the ichimoku, imacd and adx indicators to confirm my trade.

Also, it seems as if the daily chart is beginning a downtrend.

Sorry, I've been on the forum for 3 months. I don't know how to post my charts.

I'm in a longer term position...looking to tp at .8900

Amy-looks like a great entry. What was or is your TP? The high was around .90925. I would like to have that trade. I didn't get a good solid short indication until around .9080, but I don't like to trade the first hour of the US Market after a weekend. Missed a good one, but when I deviate from my plan, it usually gets me in trouble. With the spread, the closest I was able to get to my TP was .90388 on this last one so I took it. It was stalling on 23.6% retracement line so I played it safe. I had three time frame charts and 6 different indicators telling to that short off of the retracement. The only thing that I didn't have was only a good oversold indication except for the sustained oversold trend on the 15 min from .9060. The reason why I ask about your TP is I do see the Trifecta coming up for a long developing with 3 different time frame charts entering into overbought soon.

Well hopefully someone caught that nice little 23 PIP move. I wouldn't think that it is over although if it follows the same pattern as most of 1/25 it would drop to around .9048-.9052, and it would make for a nice harmonic pattern that might go on to set the low for the day. If we followed a normal trendline, I can see a good short now around the border of 1/26, but the Asian market sometimes has miserable volume so it could be closer to the open of Europe. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. We are stradling my new pivot line for the day, and my next 12 hours Resistance line is .90840 and R2 .91279, and my S1 is at .90047. My daily pivot is .90469. I would be interested to hear of any longer term lines to watch out for from our swing traders?
