DislikedWelcome to the community Fadi,
IMHO, any system is good that actually works for you, if this is working for you then nothing like it. However, I would definitely like to leave a comment here regarding the ichimoku settings:
Recently, I've come accross few resources and also had a chance to talk to few guys who have been practicing Ichimoku since many many years. First of all, what they say is that the Ichimoku is by far the best system (I agree with EgyTrader to not to call it an Indicator please ... its a complete system in its own) and there...Ignored

Quoting ichi360Dislikedwhen I told them this they had a big laugh because apparently its a misconception. The reason, Japanese traders use these settings is because for example of the 26 is the most closest number to a Full Moon CycleIgnored

DislikedI’ve been skeptical about the recent breakout that appeared on EURNZD (as well as EURAUD) chart, I still maintain the view that this is possiblly a Wave-4 correction and we should be heading south once the Bears are back in conrol.
Recenly we’ve had a DOJI appeared in EURNZD Heikin Ashi chart …
lets see if the trend continues from here …Ignored
Dislikedgann also attached significance to 60, 72, 90, 120, 144, 180.
Based on this new paradigm shift I would propose 9, 29, 60 perhaps. As the settings are longer I anticipate TK crosses will be later, but perhaps more accurate...? Let me caveat all above by saying this is just Speculative, thinking outside the box, one should backtest heavily which Ill get into tonight wheni go home. I would be most quite interested in seeing what 60 does to the kumoIgnored

DislikedWith Elliot wave count is a 5th wave normally the same in length as wave 1.?
(So we would be looking around the 1.3981 from the 4 our chart.)

DislikedHi ajs5274,
Its not necessary to have the same length for Wave-1 and Wave-5. In fact, quite often you'll see a truncated Wave-5 which means its just slightly higher (for bullish) than the Wave-3 ...
Length can be anything though, howeve a generally accepted view is that the Wave-3 should be the longest wave and if its not the longest than at least it should be the 2nd longest in length. We normally do not see it as a valid count if the Wave-3 is the shortest in lenght.Ignored
DislikedHi,
it always nice to try and predict what the market is going to do next despite the fact that this is impossible, Elliott waves fall into this category as all the other methods, and the only time an elliott wave is accurate is after the fact, or when it is a simple cycle of a lower order....Ignored
DislikedHi lbTrader,
How is life mate ? been long since I touched base with you
Well, to start with, I would say that I agree as well as disagree with your points.
EW, like any system works when someone is doing it right. Its quite funny that how the guys here in this forum are able to predict profitable trades by using Ichimoku but then there are a thousands of traders around the world who think that its not a good system and it only works sometimes. I've seen complaints from people saying that why sometimes the Weak TS/KS cross goes a long way...Ignored
