I was just about to place a trade, which would of worked short term no idea if it woulda hit SL longer term though can't remember.


My S10 charts where down uptil 5mins before FXCM went down to, typical!!
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

I FIND YOU VERY OPTIMISTIC

THis is a serious issue as i was long 1 million on eur/jpy since yesterday around 128,42 i add edsome millions on the way down and manage some scalps so that at 127,40 before shut down i was up 2K ( target in the machine setted up around 128,68.
I can see we went to 127,80 at that point i was winning 6k and would have put a stop arround 127,70.

Now we are back to 127 so i am going to compalin on the audit form but i know the answer already from my experience.

I will let you know the issue but i know it 100% sure and it will cost zero usd to them..........

Class it as 1 of the many risks of trading, they'll likely cancel your trades rather than put you at a loss so it's just a day / few hours wasted really.

There ownly real down time I can think of over the last 6years, the error message I get makes me suggest there SQL server went BANG!!
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

I am a money manager on fxcm, and have never had a problem when making a claim. As far as I am concerned, my tp has been hit and they owe me the money for that.

I have more information. See below statement from www.FXstatus.com

FXCM trading will be inaccessible for the remainder of the trading day. Please log into your account as soon as trading resumes on Sunday at 5:15 est and close out any trades that you intended to close today at the market rate. If the rate you end up receiving on Sunday is better than you originally requested on Friday, you certainly keep the additional profit. If it is worse, please log the details of your trade including your account number, the ticket number, the time and rate that you originally tried to close and the rate you eventually received when things came back online through the form at this link. Our audit committee will look into the details of the trade and follow up with you directly on an appropriate adjustment.

Please note that FXCM will not be making adjustments for potential or hypothetical profits, only on losses incurred

If you have a trade you want reviewed, please submit the audit using the link above instead of sending an email to [email protected] as I mentioned previously. The audit will be setup and processed faster if you use the link.

i am a money manager too and am not as lucky as you.
i dont want to explain issues on a public forum but trust me i get a big issue with a non filled order on a marker order and never get satisfaction even if on their web site it is written that this kindda order are always filled whatever the spread is

Looks like your right my friend. Luckily, I have most of my clients on Dukascopy.... try them, you can get very big fills 100M+ easy on majors. Also, 0-1.5 spread.

Looks like I will be moving more clients to them!

yes dukas is a good one i have 3 brokers but have some customers who wanted to stay with fxcm and that is their choices.
Anyway i will fill the audit form with an exit around 127,70
let see what happen but am very very pessimist and main problem is that they suggested to close on sunday
imagine if i close with a loss and they finally answer blabla i am done .
I dont like their suggestion to close specifically on sunday where market is very hazardous

Being stopped for more than 5 hours for a broker this size is unacceptable

Yes, your quite right. Fingers crossed EURUSD gaps higher on Sun night, could be lucky !! They should honour their customers though, thats for sure.

I thought the problem was local to me for the longest time. I am curious as to what the problem is. I had one trade open that was in a slightly positive position that I planned on removing but no joy, obviously.

I guess all that can be done is to wait for Sunday, and fill out an audit if necessary.

Sure, i'm No Stress when trading lol. When FXCM was frozen, i was out after some good pips in scalping with the range market. I'm very careful in trading friday afternoon and monday before NewYork session (no open position in the week-end). I went to a restaurant, enjoy myself with some i like, and now come back to find the situation with no move. Why stress? lol.
No Signal, No Trade. No fundamenals, No headache.

You're lucky, I have 4 mini lots open, long, on nzd/usd with no stops in place , over the weekend! I have no problem leaving trades over the weekend, as I trade longer time frames. But over the weekend with NO STOPS!!!AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!. Talking of weekends, have a nice one my friend.
