You are talking about Asian session....evidently crosses regarding that time zone;

Me too WTB! Over the past few nights, Asia has had some really big moves but this is out of the ordinary. From what I can tell, Asia trading is generally pretty dead. I've noticed that fx rates may have a more predictable drift during these hours (?), but I am not trading at this time...its a yawn fest. If you want to trade during this time, you may get some action from the countries who are awake then...JPY, AUD and NZ all release their economic data in the Asian session, so these may be the guys you want.

Exactly, JPY, AUS, and NZD are the most active. Near the end of the Asian, EUR, GBP, CHF crosses with JPY begin to become active also. I believe the GBP/JPY is the most volatile during the Asian session usually averaging about 100 pips movement.

I'm starting to trade Asian session only this week. From what I've seen, there is far less volatility, support & resistance is more respected, and no USD or EUR news, which means you don't get crazy spikes. I read a very interesting article about trading Asian on dailyfx.
Seems it's much more profitable overall.
I just hooked a brand spanking new demo account to myfxbook. I will be trading .2 lot size, as it reflects the lot size I would take if it were a live account with the minimum of 2k they require.

From what I've read, the best pairs to trade during Asian is the EUR/USD and GBP/USD. They are slow, yes, but like I said above, they tend to respect support and resistance and trend.
What I'm doing is looking at the 4h charts after NY close. Look for a cross of SMA7 and SMA14, cuz that usually indicates a trend in that direction for at least 12 hours.
