Vostok 1 System
Hey FF, I've been using manual systems I've found here on FF and other forums since June and while I like a lot of them, they each have their flaws. Vostok 1 indends to close some of these gaps and introduce some "new" concepts to FF. I didn't personally program one iota of any inidi in this system, I've simply put different indis together around a basic concept. The real credit goes to all the people who put in the actual work on this. I'll have an updated thanks section soon.
Vostok 1 is about finding trend reversal points so we get in as fast as possible, while maintaining a tight SL and clear projected TP's and holding times for every situation.
1. Download the zip file. Put the indis in their place and the template file in its place too.
2. Open up your favorite pair, m5, and load up Vostok 1.tpl
Vostok 1 isin't about strict rules, rather perfecting your "6th sense" and managing trades with the best information possible. That being said, one of the hard rules is, do not trade against a bomb. Do not go short on a green bomb or long on a red bomb. The result on your equity if you do so is not metaphorical.
Another thing to take into consideration before anything else, if a new high or low is hit in relation to the last 40 bars, you must re-load ZUP. This will be pretty obvious.
NMR note (The two parallel grey lines at the bottom): When the upper and lower bounds of NMR break the 3.77 level, this means the likelihood of our models holding up begin to diminish. At 15+ the models are basically worthless because of the high volatility. Think of it as a efficiency gauge for andrews pitchfork, fibs etc... If this happens to you get out of whatever position you are in and don't try to trade it. It might be nice if you're on the right side of this but might be catastrophic if not... Also note I've optimized the set for EUR/USD, so for other pairs this setting may be different.
Vostok 1 has a few major entry points (listed in order of importance). Often times you will see many of them combined, I'd say you need at least 2-3 of these for a trade. SN's to come in the near future... (pls submit them too...)
1. Bounce off 144 EMA
2. Fib pivot.
3. Upper/Lower boundary of Andrews pitchfork
4. RSI/NMR crossover
5. Bounce off lower/upper bound VTS. The green/red dotted lines.
6. Green/red bomb. Green for long, red for short. You might want to wait for price to hit another entry point before going in.
7. Harmonic pattern. Usually pretty weak on m5 but don't trade against it.
TPs and SLs
I'll generally take partial exits at ISL/fib arc intersections or wait for an opposite signal depending on volatility. Entries and exits are always informed and NEVER "fly blind". If you have absolutely no clue of where price action will go, you should exit.
For SL's use whatever LWL/UWL (lower/upper warning line) you are comfortable with. Know that the father into those lines you get, the less reliable the models become.
Updated to 1.1
Uses ZUP83 instead of 82
Zup info should work now, Harmonics/Gartley are now more reliable
Please Scale fix your charts or else things will look funky....
Legal warning: Neither I, FF or anyone else on the forum is responsible for your gains or looses. Any testing period less than 3 months shows a complete lack of responsibility... Don't be dumb, test first
