I use FXDD for demoing usually as you can easily set up a new demo account without phaffing around, but my real account is with MB (ECN Crim).

Anyway, I thought I had everything set up (trading the Original BOJ bot) just how I wanted it with FXDD demo. So I brought the same settings over and just changed ECN Crim to true.

The first trade it took ended up negative (I have Steve's MPTM kill them off at 2.5 hours if they are still not done) and that was as per the rules, but then the last two have ended up with two closed baskets that were opened and then immediately closed again, which was definitely not how things should be.

Now I have heard that MBT's demo is cr@p, and just looking at the data feed I am not surprised as it is a big mess, so perhaps it was just that. But I was wondering if anyone else has been demoing on MB Trading and can give me some pointers.

My main purpose (of course) is to go live, but I do want to run a day or two on an MB demo before running live to make sure it is going as expected.

Any fellow MBT traders out there trying this?

Normal price exhaustion, happens with any currency, just magnified with GBPJPY because of its ATR.

However, the ROI looks good so far but to me the drawdown is way too high.

This looks cool, scooby. Do you intervene at all ? What are the specific rules for this EA? Will do some backtesting this weekend on various strategies + try to build my own RSI based using neural networks, will see how that goes.

Its just a 80/20 OB/OS 3TF JPY EA.

The very interesting thing is that the stats (so far) show I could have achieved roughly the same ROI just using AUDJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY with allot less drawdown (< 1%).

This does kind of make sense as the GBPJPY is what causes the DD to any method/strategy.

But I really should have known that!!!!!!!!

Or the condition is all currencies must be OB/OS in all 3 TFs?

Do you ever close with loss or just let it running till the TP is hit?

What was your biggiest DD%? (I know the stats says 5% or so, but if that's from MT4 then it is not real DD...)

It takes an average of the pairs to decide OB or OS in 3 TF's. I dont know what the biggest DD was cause I havent been following it much.

I just let it run until it hits TP or each trade blows. I dont have time to sit their watching it.

However, just opening AUDJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY would have netted the same ROI with allot less DD.

The biggest problem with running this on XXXJPY is the spread cost and their volatility due too economic news.

You could ofcourse run it on other groups like USD or EUR but the ROI would not be so high due to their relatively low ATR.

Hey Steve, I'm demoing the DG and have this message:

"Dog's Bollocks CADJPYm 0 order send failed with error(136): off quotes Market=88.232: Entry=88.232: TP=88.732: Sl=0 Lots=1.03"

The ea's been running smoothly but this message's been appearing repeatedly for the last 15 minutes again and again.

Looking your ROI, you should divide your risk by 4 or 5, and then the DD, that a not bad result for 2 months !!! : 10/15% ROI for 2 months is a profit that many of us would like to get !

Long time I didn't post on this thread.
I have coded a robot based on Scoob idea (3TF Rsi)
It is more complicated since I use Martinguale (geometric progression = increment), I called this a cycle. I use 3 cycle C0, C1 and C2 that work on 3 TF. I also use hedge on trades.
this robot work well on Backtesting (2006 till now) on most pairs, except sometimes it blow up the account (very seldom) but I have still to fix this problem.

1.a buy would be all RSI(2) are green
look for it being OS in 3 TF'x4 apart

2. It is above the 200 SMA

3. It is below the medium price channel line

The reverse of the above for a sell

I've had great sucess

I have a question the 200 sma is that on any time frame

I am using the above on 15 TF with E/U U/C G/J E/J G/U

You should be using the 200 SMA of the highest TF you are using.
