jip, And I did it again... NOT FOLLOWING RULES! I always get into a situation where I THINK i know whats going to happen and then the opposite does... Got into a trade just as a biiiig downtrend started and I was bullish, Doubled up and lost alot!
3rd day on system and still following my own rules... ai.
Will start afresh after breakfast.

A few of my trades. It is not secret that begining of the Frankfurt&London sessions is one of the best periods to trade.
I made 2 trades: EURUSD m5, EURJPY m5.
Both trades are with positive pips. It seems to me all the basic rules were met.
P.S. Just closed third trade +10 pips EURJPY m5.

thank you for your effort elaborating your setup.
truly gave me insight on interpreting your system.
i spent rigorous hours testing some particular setup of your swissy indicator.
i watch the market some 15 hours a day.
i have managed to isolate certain setup that appears some 10-15x a day.
i observe certain points, and wonder if they were happening as frequent
1. Successful coral break has subsequent pullback, good for 10-15 pips.
2. 2nd or later pullback(s) towards coral is considered to be 'stale',
and many times would bounced around the low/high the 1st or earlier
pullback managed to make screeching halt.
my dilemma now lies between:
having ride the 1st pullback
1. Making fix limit of 15 pips, and exit at the earliest signs of 'micro-trend'
exhaustion.
2. Making fix limit of 15 pips and stop 10 pips, try to see if 2nd PB could
touch target where 1st PB had failed.
i'm deeply grateful for your past help, and wish us to correspond more.

Just use the THV T3 trix Cobra posted last June. You'll
find it in the attachments. It's a lot easier to work with because
it has fewer external variables so you can actually use iCustom
to call it with the values that you want. All the other variations
of the trix have so much code and so many external variables that
I've never succeeded in calling them with anything other than the defaults.
Here is an example

He seems to be saying that he is looking at trading the pullback to the coral after the break, whereas you seem to be saying that you trade the bounce off the coral after such a pullback? Or have I misunderstood?
So, your rules are:
1. Trend changes and breaks coral (look out for chop)
2. Price retraces and touches coral (enter here with two positions)
3. If price breaks coral and continues going, don't panic as price will likely retrace back to coral once more, at which point you may exit with a small loss.
I'm also a little unclear on your recommendation of using two positions. Are you saying that the 2nd one should be entered with an extremely tight stop (as in no leeway for a break of the coral)? If so, where abouts would you place the stop for the 1st lot? On that note, would TP simply be the last swing high/low from which the price retraced to the coral?

Ah yes. I have a trading plan I haven't shared with the forum
because it contains trade 'templates' that are not all
strictly THV.
That particular one is one of my favorites. The first
coral bounce after the trend has changed is almost
always good. (Of course it needs to be a trend, cant
just be chop so you have to be able to recognize a trend)
It's even better because usually you can see it take off
right away. Even if it fails (goes in the opposite direction of
the previous trend to start a new trend), it almost always
comes back...

I"m NOT making trade recommendations on this. I was replying that I have (I thought) a similar strategy as one of my trade templates in my trading plan (that I haven't shared because it's not all THV). At least I think it's similar - maybe I didn't understand what he's doing. What I do is when there is a trend change, if there is a pull back to the coral I trade a bounce off it in the same direction as the trend change if it meets my criteria. I look for the first one of these after a good trend change (which I define as the rainbow flipping with 3 higher highs or lower lows while all the colors are visible), and I look for the spread between the fast and slow trix on the 5m tf to be moving in the direction of the trade. On the first lot I take 10 and then I move the stop on the second to B/e because a lot of times that first retest is never hit again until the trend flips back, which can be a good long way.
Here's an example of what I mean by one today ( although I didn't take it - I couldn't get any trades in today there was so much news.)
If the spread of the 5m is also in the direction of the trade it usually works. If it doesn't work, then you probably are in for chopiness, and if the rainbow has flipped again against the trade, price will probably come back to retest the coral again so you can get out (barring major news shocks of course that's why you need a stop anyway.)

I'm curious if in such cases you still look for your normal trade confirmation for entry? As in, 6 points / trix cross and so on, or just the m5 spread decrease and rejection from coral.
Also, what sort of SL works well with this in your experience? In your previous post you commented that "Even if it fails (goes in the opposite direction of the previous trend to start a new trend), it almost always comes back for a retest of that new trend so you can get out". If I understand correctly that implies that you have a reasonably wide stop as even a reversal will likely come back to again retest the coral, allowing for an exit at close to breakeven.
