I remember sorry, for some reason I had it in my head that you were out at .9130 from that buy at .9075. Well I am in it with you. I set my TP at .9175 , but I will have my hand on the trigger for any consolidation if we get over .9150. Good luck...

What's the positive news on AUD?

China's #'s weak.

Gold weak.

RBA really likely to raise rate early Feb?

What's the negative news on USD?

I'm biased to weaker AUD, and I'd really like to see some logical fundamentals or technicals that agree or disagree.

I think you read that post backwards. I'm saying positive #'s from China will move it up. Negative #'s from China should move it down.

IMHO the two most important factors for the AUD, outside the USD, is gold and China.

so everybody's still up for retracement to 9130-9150? hows the china news that didnt meet the expectation gona affect that..its seems that the aud pushed down abit. need guidance. thanks

IMHO Chinese news was a mix bag, which is a best case scenario for AUD. why?

1. If the GDP was much higher than expected, the credit tigetening would have gathered pace to fight the bubble. Current GDP is now fully priced in.
2. If GDP and other data was too low, fresh doubts would have emerged about pace of global recovery.

Current set of mix data would calm some nervous traders and risk trading would slowly and surely creep in as the Europe and US digest the data.

Gold has fallen more than $40 from its 1160 high. Expect some retracement back to about 1125-30 in coming days.

When I originally bought my long position my 15 minute chart was screaming don't do it, but I spent too much time on the forum and did. Anyway the good news is it is looking much better from a short term indicator then it did earlier. Not perfect, but beter then the last 30 minutes.

looks like the yen pairs are trying to recover.
does anyone use trailing stops, of like 50?

well it looks like i was right about this pair recovering, it's just AUD nature to recover during Asian OPen. ohh well missed out only on 20 pips, nut at least i slept really good, i'm gonna squeeze 2 more hours of sleep. be back before EU/UK open

went long ~0.9081, stop moved up to 0.9101, targeting ~0.9060

I have a line at .91282, and it is really butting up against it. My CCI indicator is still pretty week for it bounce back down just yet, but it is sitting in this area a little too long.

i understand how trailing stops work, i just wonder how many pips to trail
longer term trades - bigger trailing stops
shorter term trades - smaller trailing stops
just was wondering if anyone has had any success with using trailing stops- and what numbers they use

i don't use trailing stops often, but on the usd/jpy trade i'm in right now, i have my trailing stop following the 50 ema atm

HI all,
I hope everybody is doing well here. Here is my chart. All the angle of deviation from base line (1,2,3,4) are in excess of 30 degrees.
I just went short at 9138, SL 9170. I think we will touch 9084 tonight, and if crossed next stop will be 9030.
