By the way, I just noticed that you're using the older version of the pivot indicators. I'm using the newest one posted on this thread, so perhaps that could be the problem of our difference? Or perhaps I'm the one that's off?

On THV4 Trix, there shows "speed", can anybody help me to understand it? How to use this "speed" data for my set up?

However, that is not "speed", it's spread, and I sure hope you know what that is before you even started trading.

First of all, hello and welcome to THV,
However, that is not "speed", it's spread, and I sure hope you know what that is before you even started trading.

just had a lightbulb, when contemplating the difference between the shorter and longer TF's I was under the impression I would need to make ALOT more trades to be succesful and I just realised it's not true...
Say you risk 0.75% of your equity per trade, with a SL of 15 it would mean 0.05% per pip. You then use thv to let profit run until fast trix changes colour and average 10 pips per winning trade.
If I make 25 trades per week and 75% are correct (when trading with the rules and especially with the trend I'm sure this is possible) you will make 100 pips per week which is 5%...
Thats more than I wouldve thought of in the larger TF's!
Don't get me wrong, I know to be able to do that would be very difficult and almost impossible but it's just an if. I will take what the market gives and aim for 10% per month.
Sorry I'm so stunned but it didnt occur to me that the smaller TF's could be so profitable. Because you dont have to worry about trend changing so much I really believe shorter TF's are the way to go if you have the personality and time for it...
let's keep learning, I cant wait to learn more. Only been in forex for 2 months but I've promised myself to keep learning and practicing until I make a success of this. Seeing as I'm only 23 I have alot of time on my side

I'm currently attempting to trade cashmeer's style of THV. Haven't seen him around in a while, but his posts always showed clearly marked examples of how and why he takes certain trades. Hopefully his style has held up well over time and he's still doing the same thing, as I've spent the last day carefully studying a good bulk of his posts
First trade for me today, and it's a bad entry. Haven't been stopped out yet, but not holding hopes high for this trade, especially with news in 20 minutes - although just as I finish writing this it's come back to breakeven, I might jump out of the trade. Currency is EURUSD.
It's a long trade (in case that's not obvious
)
Considerations:
1. Price breached micro-TL on M1
2. Price appeared to breach TL on M5, however I should have waited for more confirmation, especially as this is a 100 pip line (1.4200)
3. Hidden bullish divergence on M5
4. Price above cloud on M1, M5, trix crossed on M1
Reasons against trade:
1. Trix had yet to cross on M5
2. Trix was below 0 on M5
3. News was within 30mins
4. Price had not clearly broken M5 TL
5. 100 pip price barrier
Edit:
Half out at +7
Rest out at breakeven
