Hey guys....anyone trading the EUR/GBP? I think I got my first really good trade using this method. I entered on the pullback at 0.8776 and I just closed into it with about 60 pips profit.

Very cool stuff!

Thanks Moxy....I'm pretty proud of myself for recognizing it. I think it was the first time I found the trade and established the position based on the trending technique. I worked great.

Now I just need to do that same thing about a million more times...lol.

Hi All,

my first day of trading having added the longer timeframe and trend (MA's 30,50,100 spotter) to my strategy. All entries were pretty early in Euro session - so it took some time, but yielded:

Results were great:
Eur/GBP +30 (locked in some profit)
GBP/CHF +70 (locked in some profit)
GBP/USD : taken out at BE

EUR/JPY & USD/JPY potential, not engaged as yet...

I normally use the high low or the RN which ever is closer for my S/R level. I think if a person uses either the High or low or close, it usually ends up being a S/R level range rather than an exact number I think, Markets are not perfect and the range is fairly close and usuakky not very wide.

I am hoping it continues I am sitting right now at 98 pips, but it may head north soon, I may be tightening up my stop on that pair a little. Around the 87.00 level is where I am expecting it to head north again so I just need to keep an eye on it because it could start heading back north at any time now.

yes agree, was very good for confidence. I am slowly working to the point of getting to let trades run for a number of days like your eur/gbp trade. Looking at this trade now, (1hr tf) 13 Jan 10 @ 15:00 (UK time) breakout would have put a neat 150 - 200 pips in your pocket...

I plan to learn for this...

Yes...it looks like it has kinda stalled at the current level.

Yep I agree, I really like to see it trending for a couple of days to make the trend a little more believeable, trying to catch a trend right at the very beginning can be very rewarding but at the same time can be very risky, and there is enough risk in this market without creating more of it...

Yes it has but of you look at the ADR it has given up the days range already so I dont expect to much more out of it today but then again you never know and this is a slow moving pair to begin with which doesnt help much.

I am just over 100 pips on that pair 103 actually and it has reached the ADR so looks like it might run for another day but I know we have to be getting close to the end soon.

Yes they do and so has this trade I cosed at 117 pips, It was just a few pips away from my target and getting to close for comfort to the tend line so I closed it out.

Congrats! That sounds like a pretty nice profit. It looks like if it breaks .8700 it may be headed for .8500. So we may have more opportunities in this further down the road.
