well.. after Friday's big dip, things probably changed.. there seems to be much risk aversion around now.

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Treasury 10-year notes posted the biggest gain since November as retail sales unexpectedly declined and consumer prices rose less than forecast, spurring demand at the week’s $84 billion in note and bond sales.

Two-year note yields, most sensitive to monetary policy, fell the most in the past two weeks since November 2008 as a report showed on Jan. 8 that the U.S. economy unexpectedly lost jobs in December and investors questioned the strength of the economic recovery. Housing starts rose in December, economists forecast before a report on Jan 20.

Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks fell, snapping four weeks of gains, the euro dropped and the cost of insuring bonds against default rose as U.S. consumer confidence trailed forecasts and European finance ministers meet later today to discuss Greece’s budget deficit.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index lost 0.8 percent to 125.73 as of 12:10 p.m. in Tokyo, with more than three stocks falling for every one that gained. The euro declined to a four-week low versus the yen, and oil retreated for a sixth day. Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures were little changed as U.S. markets will be closed today for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
