@ Scooby Well, originally I would have said drop down to the M5 for the 21 EMA cross, but you are right that the M15 is less choppy, so let's say on the M15. Personally I am not sure what the best trigger would be. My point is simply that the OB or OS on multi-time frames is great for providing the condition for the trade, but then maybe once the condition is in place there is another indicator that can provide the trigger. Maybe a cross of the MA, or it could be something else.

Not much is going to happen immediately, as I have a busy teaching day tomorrow and need to have enough sleep to function properly in my role as an Enthusiastic and Loving Teacher.
Just couldn't resist starting.

well steve is comparing arithmetical mean of rsi's in multiple timeframe. So if the RSI's are 90 90 40, It would still trigger, since the the mean of the rsi's is greater than 70. So should a trade be triggered in this situation scooby ?

The only reason I goto bed is to sh@g my woman and then 30 seconds later I am back looking at my charts.
Have been here for 13 years but have no intentions to give up on my European passport.Have been backtesting the AI on a 5 digit broker (cannot get it to work on a 4 digit one?!) just to get a feel for it. It gives mind-blowing results (367 K of profits from 2008-2009 with 10 K starting capital) but (there is always a but, isn't there?) I have 88% losing positions due to a ridiculously tight stop of 5 pips. Just out of curiousity: When/if you run it, are you aiming for such high-risk/high-reward settings or do you prefer a more balanced setting which, obviously, goes hand in hand with a considerably lower yield?

I haven't added code to make the bot trade only on the start of a new candle. Pairs are either OS/OB or they aren't. When they become OS/OB hardly matters.
As usual, guys, report bugs here when the markets open later on. There are bound to be some, given the way the bot was coded.

This is not strictly true Steve and maybe why things dont always go to plan. I think we need to makesure the lower TF candle closes below or above, so...

With an ECN, you cannot modify an order until a position has been established. Hence AI.mq4 will not work for those of us that have an ECN. Nor will hedging, or any EA that uses pending orders, unless it is modified. The modification is easy. Just wait until a pending order has been executed, and then send the ordermodify. This usually takes a few seconds with my ECN.
An ECN seems to work with position, not order. This is why one cannot hedge with an ECN (aside from the US regulations). But a clever programmer could keep track of the desired hedging position and send orders to maintain it. These orders would not be hedges, but simply partial closes. In addition to enabling hedging for members using US brokers, this would reduce the spread paid during hedging by non ECN clients. Such a subroutine would have wide application in the FX forums.
I know that it's asking a lot, but there seems to be a clever programmer or two here.
My programming skills are not up to this task, and it may be that no one cares about us US members
