Hello,

Got my second trade for today finished, however, because I was trying to take screenshot of the result, I missed the M1 Sell Euro trade that got confirmed soon after my Cable trade closed... ^^" Oh well, this Cable trade won within 2 minutes after entrance for another +10 pips, so +20 now overall for today so far.

Yes, I like it! Show us your screenshots, it’s simple to understand for everybody.
A screenshot talk more than a 1000 words. I think only like that we can understand better about this system, and how to use it.

Thank you

Well, 12:30 PM EST is my closing shop time, looks like I won't get anything to confirm within the next 2 minutes, so I'll be calling it a day, met my session target of +20 pips today, so I'm happy, 2 trades, 2 wins, 1 missed winning trade lol, +20 pips.

Have a great rest of the day everyone with pips all around. ^^

You have the time and types correct but mode needs to be 1 (the default) not 2. The alarm and eperiod types only work with mode 1. Mode 2 is a shortcut to configure all the timeframes to THV classic mode (fast trix above slow trix and above zero for long and fast trix below slow trix and below zero for short). Except for that your understanding is correct.

I'm going to decline your request to analze your trade for a few reasons - one, I cant see the timeframes in the histo in the pic you posted, two I only trade the EUROUSD and that's what I know well and tested the 6 lights method on (though others do use it on other pairs) and three, if I analyzed yours I'd feel obligated to respond to all such request out of fairness, and since I trade for myself during the day and also work on developing things, my plate is pretty full. Maybe someone who trades EuroYen can help you.

The incoming mail is if you want a sound alert. I just put it there because it's a sound anybody has. You can configure your own sound by entering some other file name.

Hi MissPips,
Thanks for the clarification. I have managed to setup the template with flwg indicators as under:-
Window 1 :- THV4 Trix V1.0
Window 2 :- SwissArmyHisto ver 4.6 configured for 1M (fast), 5M (fast), 5M (slow), 15M (fast) in classic mode (2)
Window 3:- SwissArmyHisto configured for 15M (slow), 30M (fast), 30M (slow), 60M (fast) in classic mode (2)
Window 4:- THV4 Cloud MTF
Therefore, there are total 10 histo above, out of which we must have at least 6 histo of same colour, of which two must be 1M (fast) and 5M (fast). Thereafter, we should...

Yes, I've had that happen with the trix indicator alerts also. I've never looked into why since I'm not the trix programmer. You might try using the SwissArmy Histo to get alerts and see if it also happens using that.

For NY session with both EURO and Cable pairs, I only had 3 valid trades, so I'm not sure how you are getting 3-4 bad trades if you're entering based on my rules. Remember that if everything confirms for entrance on the M1 chart, you still need to look at the M5 Fast Trix for final confirmation as explained on my Rules post link. All those false trades I saw on M1 today was filter out by the M5 Trix so I didn't enter any of them. Same if you got everything to confirm on the M5 chart for a trade, you still need to look at the M15 Fast Trix for final confirmation, that's why I have that M15 Trix box chart below my M5 chart. Also, for the NY session, I stop trading after 12:30 PM EST, which is 11:30 am CST (our time), because after that, PA tends to slow down a lot, which cases more wipesaws and false movements, which in turns, more false signals. Don't worry, keep trading the THV method, the more you trade it, the better feel you'll have on how to trade it better in according to your own trading personality.

I was wondering what the formula for the "THV3 Trend" indicator was, and also if it repaints at all?

I know this indicator isn't used anymore for V4 but I am still curious how it determines the trend (red, yellow, green) direction and if it repaints or not? Thanks for any insight!

Mike

Edit: It does look like it repaints, but I am still curious on how it is calculated, thanks!

Hello guys.
I started trading thv live past week after a long time of observation. I dont like demo so I decided to trade 1usd per pip to study it.
I would like to know if some of you guys are trading like me.
I wait for the market touch the coral, and get back. And then I take an order as soon as the fast trix changes it's color, waiting for the next candle to confirm. Should I wait to see the trix crossing or the color change is a good entry?
Check my trades today. 1 loss -8pips on EU M5 and a gain of 29 pips on GU M15. And then a pic from all...

Mr Mad, could you post a few more examples, and would be great if you could label your entry more clearly..

Thanks rebel.

Can anyone help me. They is an indicator, that is placed below the trix being traded, that you can set to next TF, or any TF. I think it was called THV3 MTF trix. I had it when using THV3, then when I went to THV4, I stupidly erased most of the THV3 indicators.

Have looked all over the attachments that are listed in little 'paper clip' at top right, but cannot find it, but know it is there. Think Irish Pips use to have it on his charts.

Would appreciate anyone who can, posting it, or tell me the page that it is listed on.

Thanks

Here's a version I improved a bit. If you don't want the histogram set showhisto to false.
To get one tf up set autotimeframe to true. To get two timeframes up set autotimeframe to false and autotimeframe2 to true.
You need the THV T3 Trix attached (which I adjusted to match V4) in your indies folder for it to work.

Don't forget that this way of looking at the Trix does not update minute by minute like the trix histogram does. So the acutal color of the trix and or histo may not match what is actually on the next tf up unless you click on it and do an init.

Thank you Miss Pips for the prompt reply, and both indicators. It sure helped to know that I needed the THV T3 Trix for it to work, and method of setting up for 1 TF, or 2TF ahead.

It was very helpful, and I certainly appreciate.

It's simple.
Coral line touched + fast trix color changed + trend of the past few hours = entry point.
One more profitable entry minutes ago on EU M5.

Dear MissPips,
i have been an admirer of your relentless efforts on improving lotsa things in the thread.

Few quick questions, my understanding of 6 lamp rules, is
1. Wait for 6 lights, (2 must be from 1f 5f) means 4 could be from anywhere.
2. Take The trade as soon as price breaks coral to the direction of the lamp
3. If the the 6 lights present after the coral break - few candle(s) after, then the signal is 'stale' / late?

I will appreciate your enlightment thanks
Note: The chart is euro 1m, the histograms followed your setting.

Hi MissPips,
1)I respect your decision of not analyzing my trade posted on Post#16765. I hope other Snr Traders who trade EJ will be able confirm whether my entry was correct or not.
2)However, can you confirm my understanding of the 6 lights rules. There are total 10 histo as follows, 1Mf, 5Mf, 5Ms, 15Mf in one window, 15Ms, 30Mf, 30Ms, 60Mf in the 2nd window and Ichimoku cloud 5M & 15 M histo in the 3rd window of M1 chart. As a rule we must have at least 6 histo of same colour, of which two must be 1M (fast) and 5M (fast) from the 1st window and balance 4 can be from any of the window OR is it that the balance 4 must be from the 1st and 2nd window and the Ichimoku cloud histo should also be indicating the same colour of the trade we intend to buy. Thereafter, we should enter the trade when the the PA is above /below Ichimoku cloud and the Ichimoku cloud above/below the coral for a long / short trade.
3)As I have configured the SwissArmyHisto for the Classic MTF mode time frames, by changing the Mode from 1 to 2 the difference would be that in Mode 2, I will see the histo lamp when fast trix above slow trix and above zero for long and fast trix below slow trix and below zero for short. Other than this there should be no difference.
4)Also I note that the Alarm system is working even when the SwissArmyHisto indicator is configured for Mode 2 operation. My question is that I cannot decipher the full info of the alarm as indicated in the attached picture of my last post, which pls clarify.

Cheers,
