Let me clarify this statement.

If you do prefer to place a market order of 1000 lots even if the market depth is showing 300, you'll be completely filled on your order, but you might receive a partial fill price on a portion of the trade. The end result will be a complete fill with an average basis price.

For example -

500 lots @ 1.4410
300 lots @ 1.44105
200 lots @ 1.4411

While many brokers used to re-quote in this situation, MB Trading has always allowed for partial fills to insure you're filled on your market orders without interruption....

I just received another message this morning stating that the transfer was initiated yesterday and that my funds will be available in my account on Tuesday. I also got a message from my bank that the withdrawal was made today. Hopefully that means I'll be able to start trading on Tuesday.

But I guess I'll be missing out on Non-Farm Payroll this month!

I also have a question regarding margin requirements for futures. If i wished to trade 10 ES(Emini S&P 500) contracts INTRADAY would I need AT LEAST ....

a. $12656 in my account (i.e, $1406 intraday inital + $1125 x 10 intraday maintenance)

OR b. just $11250 in my account ($1125 x 10 intraday maintenance)

And if there is insuffient funds in my account at CLOSE of market will any open positions be AUTOMATICALLY closed out AT close of market or say 15/30mins BEFORE close of market. Or would instead a margin call occur.

you'd need more I think. I don't know what's the margin for ES but assuming it's 5% margin for ES futures then 10 contracts is an exposure of 1140 pts * 10 contracts * 50 (because each contract = 50* index) which means a total exposure of around 570,000 USD.

Ok I see that the margin requirement is around 2.5% so I guess you may be right.

2.5% of current 570k exposure equals around 14k ' ish

You would need 10x initial margin to open a position of 10 ES contracts. If you then incur losses and account equity falls below 10x intraday maintainance margin you would get a margin call.

jleblang....I have been a happy MB Trading customer for years and I hate to switch but I can't get a data feed at my new job. I guess firewall stuff. Is there something I can do?

Justin or anyone that knows,

I use the regular charts that come with navigator. I noticed that volume does not show on the list shown in the screen shot (hope it worked). I there a way to show volume with the regular charts?

Hi Justin,

I have a question regarding MT4.

I trade using the Navigator software, but don't use the charting software that's bundled with Navigator. I prefer MT4 for charting and Navigator for trading.

Unfortunately the MBT MT4 demo software goes down a lot and using other broker's MT4 platforms there's often a difference in price correlation with MBT so its not optimal.

Would it be possible to make to make the live version of MT4 available for your clients trading live Navigator accounts without having to open a seperate MT4 trading account?

Since it's the most robust charting software MBT currently has available, it would seem to make sense to make it available to all your clients without having to park 400 dollars in an account someone wouldn't be trading from to gain access to the more stable version of the software.

I had the same issue. However, you have to open the account with $400. You don't have to leave it there. There is no minimum after you open it, so I transferred most back a week after opening and have $25 sitting there.

Remember, our providers are not required to display all available liquidity and you are seeing only a portion of client and bank orders.

Our web-based platform coming out shortly should provide a solution for you. I should have more info on the live release date in the coming week or so.

There is only 7 million on either side of the eur/usd book. There used to be 30+ million. There is 20 mil in gbp/usd.

Is there a technical problem of some sort? Usually, there is more liquidity in eur/usd than gbp/usd. This looks wrong.

It's all there, just not displayed currently at the discretion of the connecting providers.

Can a provider hide his complete bid/offer, or does he have to display a minimum amount? Just asking, because it looks like there are 5 providers quoting in eur/usd and 8 in gbp/usd.

Hi Justin,

Is your demo server working? I could not establish the connection today. I thought my demo a/c expired, and tried to open a new one, but could not connect to your demo server.

Also, I re-downloaded MT4 from MBT's site again, just in case - after I re-installed it I noticed it was "build 221", whilst the prior version (which I de-installed) was "build 225".

Any idea what's going on? Many thanks!

Yeah i noticed this , i saw better liquidity b4 from old screenshots at this thread , put in mind that not all liquidity pools the same , i know guys trades at FX desks in the uk they c 100 m Euro within 2 pips in active times , anyway if we use limit orders with MB and the price goes through our limit order we should get filled even 20 m Justin correct me if i am wrong ...
