Hi Fool,
Been stoppin in to check up for a while, you've got an agreeable bunch around here with the occasional AH mixed in. Not a bad place to spend time and listen to the conversation. Good luck in your quest.

Hi Fool

Hey I was working toward your neck of the woods yesterday. Working on a remodle job in Canterwood.

I sure enjoy reading your thoughts and such on trading, keep it up.

I posted on my trading journal that I am going to stop 1m trading for a while and stick to my 5m and 15m systems. Mainly to muckh to keep track of at the same time.

Hopefully we see some trading tonight. With NFP things could be quiet with 50 pip bursts.

Oooh, Canterwood. I'll give you a dollar for every Mercedes Benz hood ornament you can steal outta there.

If you are making money working off the M5/M15 charts, keep on doing that. The price action has a fractal quality - it can be hard to tell the difference between an M1 and a H1 chart sometimes if they are not labeled. And the chart patterns and other characteristics that people depend on to make a trade show up across all time frames. So the time frame that a trader chooses, I think, is more about the trader than it is about the charts.

I like to see the candlesticks move. Seeing is believing.

Slow PA from the FO, about a 20-30 pip range. Best of it was in Frankfurt and the LO, with some 15-pip candles on M5. I scalped full -size all the way and had almost 2% in the bag after an hour. Shoulda quit. Gave most of it back in the hour after LO. C'est la vie. I'm still rusty. Will stay up till NFP and see what I can recoup.

edit: made it back with short scalps on the drop in E/U and a 5-pip breakout grab off the German IP news. Will look at CAD news at 4AM.

edit: wanted to trade the USD/CAD employment news. There was spike down in the hour b4 the announcement & I thought: "they're running it down to buy large in anticipation of an upmove."

So the number came out red and U/C shot up 60+ pips. I didn't have a trade on - I usually just try to scalp in the aftermath. Classic manipulation....

Slept thru the whole NFP shebang. Looks like it was a bear trap just like the U/CAD employment news. Like probably everyone, I figured there woulld be some US jobs growth because there usually is during the Christmas season. Post-announcement short covering would have given up some fat scalps - but more & more I am feeling like the largest news "events" are too much of a good thing. I like volatility but I am happy enough with the smaller somewhat slower variety.

Well, I knew this day would come. The whole reason I am able to consistently scalp the forex for 2%, 4% per day and more (or less) is because I am using steroids. Yep, inject em right into my brain. Rub a little bit on my mouse finger, too. And for that I am truly sorry.

P.S. I am not sorry.

yes lausanne is nice, but switzerland is very conservative & expensive, you can only drive 120 km/h on the highway for instance, so better chill in the mountains, graubünden, and party in paris, but if you want to stay in a city i recommend basel or zürich, overall the swiss is very small, you can get anywhere in a few hours (in the country, lol), small country, small cities, high density, zürich has a population of ~400K and is the largest city, if you like art, there's a lot of it, for partying i recommend other countries ... paris, vienna, prague, london

Thanks, buddy. Yes Prague will be an option. But I am going to be doing alot of yodeling and I'm not sure how that will go over there, the Chechs are so hip. I probably would not fit in.

Oh, f^ck, who am I kidding. I'll probably be living under a bridge and still trying to trade minilots from a computer in the public library....

What one man can do, another can do.

one of my favorite quotes i often like to remember from the movie the edge before they are going to kill a bear, not because of the name or because the movie is so good, but because it gives a sentiment to the audience, that it is more powerful than it believes it is, that it can do better, here's another quote:

Most people who die in the woods die of shame.

How few pips would you need per month to support that life style ( the bridge and library ), sure sounds like a easy life, prefer a warmer country though for sleeping out side for ever more
