Which broker are you using? Cannot get mine to work other than on IBFX. Mind to post your settings? Thanks!

I'm using Forex.com.

If Steve says its OK for me to post my set file, I'll be happy to do so. Although, I'm simply running default with lots set to 0.01 instead of 0.1.

Can anyone explain to me why the original BOJ robot just placed a sell basket? Im using v2.2 that was just posted to the front page, and I have the time zone settings correct. According to those settings the robot is currently in the buying hour, yet it has placed a sell basket. It placed a buy basket during the sell hour two days ago as well.

I just loaded up the v2.2 on demo an hour ago to check it out. And yes I also just got 2 sell orders at 11:15pm my time 8:15 broker time.
I'm just letting it do its thing while I keep reading and learning and watching what it does. Thats what demo is for.

Thx again guys for all the hard work and time thats been put into this EA and system. Can't say that enough.

Greetings from a very cold Singapore.

Here is a new strategy for Steve to code quickly.

EURJPY is just a cross of EURUSD and USDJPY.

1. if EURJPY and EURUSD and USDJPY OB then sell EURJPY.
2. if EURJPY and EURUSD and USDJPY OS then buy EURJPY.

The same could also be said for GBPJPY, GBPUSD and USDJPY but the overall spread is much higher. Depending on your broker.

I will leave TP and SL upto yourselves as I know how greedy you people are on this thread. But dont forget we are just trading retraces of pull backs so you are not going to usually get 1000s of pips. Personally, I would go for 1.5% of AccountBalance for TP using a lotsize of AccountBalance/10000. That may sound high but dont forget we are only trading one single pair and not a group or basket.

To decide OB and OS, I would use a RSI 5 day period of 70/30. Look at 3 TF's being 15M, 60M and 4H.

The OB or OS calculation is (EURJPY (RSI) + EURUSD (RSI) + USDJPY (RSI)) / 3.

Scoobs.

PS. Expect around 10 to 15 trades per week depending on the economic outlook.

Thanks

Sounds simple enough, but isn't it more ideal if the conditions were:

1. if EURJPY and EURUSD OB and USDJPY OS then sell EURJPY.
2. if EURJPY and EURUSD OS and USDJPY OB then buy EURJPY.

I'm assuming your logic here is:

buy eurjpy when OS and sell eurjpy when OB, but check it's individual components for confirmation.

Greetings from scorching England.
We are enjoying a scorching -2C here in England and wish you were here. Please let us know if you want us to send you a woollen jumper.
Thanks for yet another logical trading idea / system. Can this be used with other pairs which have similar correlation structure or is it just relevant to XXXJPY due to BOJ interventions.
Kind regards

I have similar Cross EA's already and USD basket- (The USD one is based on Steve's code the others are not). (after two weeks of not getting the KG indicators on the KG thread to work on forex.com acct (they work on fxdd though). I just built my own based on rsi and ma.

For my cross ea's ( I have GY and EY)I use two tf's for the trade set up- 5m and 15m - 6 pip TP 30 pip SL - 2 ma's (2 and 14) and rsi settings of 7.

For example on GY ---when GU and UJ ma's have crossed and lower tf rsi <||> then higher tf - trade GY- this is slightly different then waiting for OB/OS conditions--(because you can have a great buy set up with rsi under 50) Also on h4 when OB/OS is > 80/20 It doesn't trade- as a reversal could be setting up. (I'm working on other conditions for large trade set ups)

For EU/AU/GU I can trade all three and use the inverse of U/CHF as well.

I traded this way manually before I got sucked into my other JOB and found new interest in EA's

Since you already programmed dozens of EA's do you actually recommend some for live usage. I noticed that you evolve most of them to perfection, so are some of them actually usable in live environment?

Thanks

An update on my demo for the 24hr bot.

Still no trades on the forex.com demo I set up on December 14. Yesterday I set up a demo with the same settings on ibfx and voila! I had one trade. I'm not sure what would happen on a NFA criminal if the hedging were to engage. I currently have that set to true.

Is anyone else in this thread testing on forex.com who got any trades on the 24hr bot?

I have forex.com

I have had some issues that only seem to be related to them. The only way I can get the BOJ or 24hr bots to trade is to remove the date filters. None of the indiv KG strength indicators work either (flatlines)
No clue why- they work fine on IBFX and FXDD.
