Well guys, it have been a good year, I lose more than profit, this last 2 months have been better from my 5 months trading career It was nice to find people like you to share our knowledge, well more you than me, hope this year I can begin sharing some good calls, I know I will, and may this New Year brings us a lot of green pips, and if not, well at least knowledge to fortify our dream to be profitable on Forex.

Hope this New Year bring also health, love and all the things you need in your lives to your families too.

Jan. 1 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks fell this week, limiting an advance that sent the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index to its biggest annual increase in six years. The 2009 rally failed to rescue investors from the worst return for any decade.

The market is dead 801, I'm pretty sure you can take a break. I do have a question----- are you still using your simple moving averages entry system? (and if so)---- hows that working for you?

I'm just sitting around doing nothing and had been meaning to ask for some time now. Just curiosity. I've never been able to use indicators successfully (I think they hate me).

hihi, yes i am still using The Koala System.. while it does not give me superb results, i do manage to be green over all..

the signals are often accurate.. the only main problem is the Take Profit.. the standard +50 does not occur often... often moving SL once the price moved is critical... i have seen many examples of the price turn back against the positions.. so if one does move the SL, you will at least harvest some pips versus losing a full 50 pips SL...

nah i dont think the indicators hate you .. you are a nice koala !

They seem to be trying to send a message to the markets that they are getting their exit strategy from super-loose policy nailed down. Late yesterday, they let it be known they are considering selling some of the bonds acquired as part of their experiment with quantitative ease.

Regarding asset bubbles, regulation should be employed first, Fed chief Bernanke said on Sunday. If that fails, rates can be hiked, he said.

That’s a step in the right direction, as the Fed, until this crisis, refused to respond to asset bubbles.

Yen crosses sold

After the initial USDJPY and EURJPY selling seen earlier this morning, Yen crosses have now been sold across the board. AUDJPY has been forced lower with AUD back towards support and GBPJPY back 50 pips towards 149.40. There were many times last year when the first move in Tokyo was always the wrong move…. will 2010 be any different?

In any case, crosses will be under pressure this morning in Asia, with EURJPY back below support forcing EUR back below 1.4300. Look for 1.4270 support, under that and its back to the 200 day MA(1.4229) that we were talking about last week.

Jan. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank’s low interest rates didn’t cause the past decade’s housing bubble and that better regulation would have been more effective in limiting the boom.

“The best response to the housing bubble would have been regulatory, rather than monetary,” Bernanke said today in remarks to the American Economic Association’s annual meeting in Atlanta. The Fed’s efforts to constrain the bubble were “too late or were insufficient,” which means that regulatory actions “must be better and smarter,” he said.

EUR/USD opens touch easier

EUR/USD sits at 1.4300, very marginally easier from around 1.4325 where it closed out last week in North America.

The Asian session was pretty active with the EUR/USD pairing coming under fairly heavy pressure, not helped by decent selling of the JPY crosses. However Asian sovereign buying was reported around the 1.4258 session low, lending support.
