I am not a great believer in strategy tester. Even so, what this robot is doing has to be seen to be believed.
Nice one, scoobs. Looking forward to putting this on a demo tomorrow evening. Cheers.

DislikedThe strategy is based on breakthrough of the maximum and minimum price values of the previous trading day. The most of the traders believed that if the level of the previous day has been broken, the price goes up, and vice versa for the minimum. From the other side, these two extrema are used as a stop-loss levels for the most of the traders.Ignored
DislikedHi Scoobs
I used this kind of strategy quite successfully in some of 2009 with GU - sell at previous day low, buy at previous day high. I used to show results in my trading journal in another forum away from FF.
I have never really looked at EU and UC but will try it now.
I have attached my template. Attach to 30m or 1h chart.
The method I used was to buy at previous day high. TP1 50 TP2 100 TRAILING STOP 40. SL prevoius day low. At London open move SL to current day OPEN price (red line)
Vice Versa for sell trade....

DislikedPlease find attached a strategy that is used by many commercial trading floors.

DislikedHi
Thanks very much for this EA. I hope that you still have time in Singapore to contribute to this site and give us the benefit of your thoughts. I agree with you that things are bad in England and will be getting worst (I manage a service company and our clients are mainly merchant banks, 2009 our turnover was down 45% compared to 2008 and we expect 2010 to be even worst, despite having increased our customer base!!).
I have lived 34 in England and its my belief that this is still one of the best countries in the world. I remember the mid...Ignored
DislikedAs you state manufacturing is dead and 2010 will see a very different city of London as I know of many banks, financial institutions who are looking to relocate overseas. I am not sure where the tax revenues will come from in the future. People maybe bank bashing at the moment but if you take barclays revenue stream to the treasury then it accounts for around 15%.
My charts and information from my banks economists plainly state that UK PLC is bankrupt, although the public is not fully aware of this just yet.

DislikedSo, its 2010 and I wanted to say a few words before I depart for my new venture overseas.
1. You don't need me to tell you but 2010 really is going to be dire for the majority.
2. Steve,, don't really know what to say apart from best of luck to you, your family and piano students. Although I guess some have now changed their future careers.
3. I hope some of you have been able to make some real money with this thread. Wish I had a magic wand to make everyone prosperous but unfortunately that is not the way markets work.

2009 was a great year for me. I coded a lot of trading robots. Some of them have survived scrutiny and have even gone onto my live trading accounts.
None of the successful robots would have withstood the light of trading scrutinity without the contributions of so many brilliant traders and coders here at FF. I would have been unable to code some monster trading robots without epic contributions...Ignored

I am sure I will return in the future but I am not sticking around and being hit with higher taxes to bail this incompetent government out of the gutter after they dumped our gold reserves at an all time market low.
All the best,
Scoobs.

DislikedRunning on a single pair like EURUSD will show a good profit due to spread etc. However, running it on EURUSD and USDCHF combined means we normally just achive BE as they are negatively correlated. The beauty of this is that we make massive gains when the pairs de-correlate (positive) due to CB interventions and market re-adjustments.
Anyway, give it a try on demo.

DislikedRe the AI.mq4 file, I think it has a small problem when run on the backtester and will produce different results than real, it uses C=iClose(NULL,NULL,0); which means the close of current bar, but the backtester already knows the close of the current bar and uses it, which is not the case in reality. So only forward test on this EA I believe.Ignored
Disliked100% since Oct 26th with default settings on GBPJPY.... not sure whether the EA is doing what he is supposed to
